Re: 2022/23 FINANCIAL RESULTS
Are the Women’s Team and the Academy one and the same? They are the same line in the accounts. I do think people misinterpret the intent of the Academy. It would actually surprise me if it ever produces, or even intends to produce, players for the first team. Academies outside of the professional c...

Re: 2022/23 FINANCIAL RESULTS
How do the women's team and academy make a profit, are they funded through some central funding source? Obviously can't be through gate receipts.

https://darlingtonfc.co.uk/news/important-advice-for-fans-travelling-to-blyth-on-tuesday Yep this one individual is now affecting us in more ways of match day experience , not allowed into Blyths club house, got to find a way to find who it is, clubs got to be proactive in measures to find him. Re: Points deduction
The Bury 2 match ban was for discriminatory language. My understanding is that it was for about 8 separate charges in the past 2 seasons. These have ranged from racism, pitch invasions, general violent disorder and also pyros. Yes, the decision to close the ground was made becaue Bury had seven rec...

Re: National League TV.
You can pause DFR until it is in sync with NLTV. Took me a while to find it on my phone - an Android. With the mixlr app running you go back to the front screen where you normally login to the phone with your PIN and you will see Mixlr with a pause button on it. You still have to mess about a bit t...

Re: National League TV.
I’ve watched a few this season, our home matches always have commentary but the away matches are hit and miss. To be honest with their accents having no commentary on Tuesday might not be a bad thing as I don’t believe there are any subtitles. Quality isn’t too bad considering, one of the matches w...

Re: Points deduction
Bury are behind closed doors at the moment which was in part due to pyrotechnics. The difference they are under County FA discipline - I haven't seen Wembley ever issue that out. I don't think they can it would set a precedent which they would have to apply from top to bottom. I thought Bury was du...

Re: Points deduction
In the echo it’s saying we could be playing behind closed doors after the pyrotechnics incidents at Darlo&Spenny, Got to find these feral little scroats and get them banned for life, they have no idea of the harm they are doing to the club and probably don’t care, so if anyone knows the culprits le...

Re: Spennymoor V Darlington
It was a bit of a surprise to see left-back Reece Staunton come on as a second half sub for Spenny given that he wasn't listed as a sub in their published team sheet before the game. Dan Myers had been getting absolutely roasted down that flank in the first half and they obviously had to stem the f...

Re: Darlo V Scunthorpe
It was mentioned by the commentators that Hatfield was subbed to avoid getting another yellow which could of seen him suspended , has that time frame now passed, and he starts again from scratch ? I know there's some point in the season when yellow cards get cancelled, just don't know when, Anyone?...

He also dived to push away a strong shot from Salkeld late on, a good save.lo36789 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 8:57 pmNot sure I'd describe one from Salkeld as a save as much as he picked up a shot...theoriginalfatcat wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 8:56 pmI listened on DFR. Didn’t this goalie make two good saves at the end of the match? I think from Salkeld.

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
And before somebody points out our record with those front 3 in the side at the start of this season under Alun, then you will also note the current league positions of those sides we faced in the opening 8 matches: 2nd, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 15th. Yep, you couldn't expect AA to conjour w...

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
Ahh I forgot the season finished in September! If the board were so confident in Armstrong’s ability to give him a two year deal then they were stupid to get rid so soon in the season especially if there was money still in the kitty. Even if Armstrong had stayed we would not be in this mess now, we...

Who’s contracted for next season? Bar those, I’d probably only want to keep Hatfield if he’s not in the above. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Hatfield , Nelson and possibly Asante. Re: Darlington v Alfreton 10/02/24
Surely to make the fan-owned model work you need a minimum degree of talent, skills and enthusiasm among your fanbase. We want a fan owned club but we don't actually have any fans capable of running the club. Seems like there is a flaw in the plan.

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
If I employ someone or if they volunteer, legally I still have the same duty as care as if it were an employee. So .............. Yes, the board are volunteers, but they must be held accountable (same disciplinary procedure as an employee) for the state the club is in. 2023 has been a massive leap ...

Re: Darlington v Alfreton 10/02/24
Bottom line is that the players are not strong enough, fit enough and just blatantly not good enough to keep us in this league. When did we last beat a strong, well organised, physical team………answer is, so long ago I cannot remember. Yes the ref was awful, yes they rolled around injured but even af...

If we go down and it’s looking very likely now than any talk about a new stadium is nonsense, Blackwell will be quite adequate with lower crowds and far less away fans and reduced commercial revenue. We have a decent budget and going down probably one of the best budgets will see us favourites for ...

Looking forward to today's preview "Asante will have a fitness test on a groin injury"! Bang on the money, the preview says exactly that. This was a quote back in July after he underwent 'minor surgery' on this groin injury: When asked how long he is set to be out for, Webb replied: “It will be a f...

Armstrong won't be getting paid for the entire length of his contract. There will have been a notice period, something like 3 months, and he'll get paid for that.

There were battles again the Welsh FA who initially insisted on them reforming in the Welsh leagues, followed by having to play their home games in Gloucestershire when they joined the English pyramid. Eventually they won a High Co...
