Are we in the Conference?

It's just that I've been away skiing in the Alps and I'm a bit out of touch with the latest.
That made me titter

Re: Gary Neville !!!

Last I heard his brother was in line the temporary role, so yes a shock. Valencia is owned by the same guy who is involved with Salford is he not? Gary loaning across Negredo to secure the Evostick title perhaps. Seriously though will be interesting to see how he gets on, I have my doubts about him...

Gary Neville !!!

Didn't see that one coming, Wow!

I don't know whether to applaude him or not.
As his Mrs said on the Salford programme, he tends to throw himself fully into his projects.

What does it mean for Salford though?

Re: Beckham at Darlo/Bish re class of 92/Salford

"Salford have defied the odds and won promotion". Umm.... Think the programme makers were very fair to us, but ultimately, they were chucking the cash at it the whole time. We were the ones who were battling the odds. This was the only bit of a very good programme that I got annoyed about. The tell...

Re: Beckham at Darlo/Bish re class of 92/Salford

The BBC have been very good to us, called us Darlington, showed our game at their place just showing when we were attacking, they didn't even mention the result or the trouble at the game. Really enjoying the programme. Bloody Hell ! I agree with Darlo Pete ! Thank you BBC.... Worrying is...

Re: Which famous people have you met?

Did a trailer/advert with Helen Mirren, only a few seconds long but took about four hours to film. Chatted all the time with her, she was a very, very nice lady. Met my hero Sir Geoffrey Boycott once at Lords. He chatted, I was lost for words! Craig Charles told me to fook off once when I asked him ...

Re: AGM notice & annual accounts

Through my vocation, I have to endure reviews of numerous sets of Company reviews/financial statements and my first impression of the information within these latest Darlo accounts is: "very impressive". As I went through the accounts, various questions popped up but as I continued through these we...

Re: The Ashes

Well there we have it!

The rubbish England cricket team (who should give up) get a flukey Ashes win over the Aussies!

Come on New England, let's make it 4-1.
Grind them Aussies into the dirt.

Re: The Ashes

All being good, today we should wrap up the series. Got to admit I, along with the vast majority England supporters, didn't expect a series win. And certainly not in such an emphatic fashion. There are still some issues. Our batting (minus Joe Root) is too brittle, we're short of a quality spinner ...

Re: The Ashes

It's like if we beat the bottom side in our division 10-0, it doesn't automatically mean we are a great side. The aussies are clearly pants at the moment and would struggle to beat Darlington RA on their current form. I have never seen such contradictions in one thread in my life, Aus are good, Aus...

Re: The Ashes

Nope, one day doesn't make a summer and all that. One day doesn't but it clearly proves that the first test wasn't a fluke or that England are rubbish, not in the same league as the Aussies and should give up! Some opinions are not valid and not worth the ink they're written with. In short you're a...

I do believe that England are rubbish at Cricket. Then you're a bigger moron than I thought. Inconsistent, yes, but not rubbish. We're still at 1-1 in case you hadn't noticed. Were we rubbish against New Zealand in the ODI series a few weeks back? Face it Pete, you're a troll. I'm allowed my opinio...
