Re: If we reach the semi-finals of the FA Trophy

Quakerz, it's evident that like me you have a soft spot for Darlo Pete. Thought you were overly polite with your response and not a curse in sight!!

Re: Here's the way forward

Amazing what I can learn on here just by browsing across the board. This is about football at least and less exhausting than the ROH or that ongoing Quakerz v Ted "banter". I just hope he doesn't try an 18-30s holiday in Faliraki-Fireworks!!

Re: Crawley Sell Out Allocation At Man Utd

That's how it works though isn't it? When we played Villa away in the cup we took about 5,500 if memory serves me right? Everyone and their dog who had ever watched Darlo seemed to be there and if Southport were playing away at Old Trafford I'd probably go with the brother-in-laws as they have alway...

Re: Andy caroll...how much????

As I said I think it's crazy. I must be a "fickle, glory seeking scumbag" I went from 66-73 following the redmen without a trophy as did many of my friends and although I enjoyed the glory years it was an equal playing field with Carlisle in top place and Ipswich fighting for the title. It's all abo...

Is that Quakerz fiirst name then, Dick? I thought shrewd was alright and it's a term we don't see on here very often Its usage was also accurate or at least we hope it is!!!: shrewd/SHro͞od/Adjective 1. Having or showing sharp powers of judgment; astute. 2. (esp. of weather) Piercingly cold: "a shre...

It says on one site that he's a centre-back, non league international and was the Crawley captain. i'm amazed that we seem to have a load (for us anway) of money t o spend. Onwards and upwards!

My "Ordinary to Chelsea" t shirt always gets comments when I give it an airing. Steady on Olrad (how are you?) you'll have loads of replies about stolen hubcaps! Funny how we can have attacks on the monarchy, high street windows and phone booths smashed, police officers injured, snooker balls, lumps...

Re: Oxford home programme 1964!

Sorry K is next to L! We had some great teachers. Before all those risk assessments-I was living in somerset- we went to Chelsea v Man Utd (Charlton's last game) and Chelsea v Newcastle. Another time we jumped onto an english trip (Titus Andronicus at the Aldwych-can't believe I remember that!) and ...

Re: Match day train travel

Leeds was always fun-three mile walk with scallies, dogs and horses, constant battle all the way to and from the station! Then I think they built a siding by the ground? I remember bricks coming through the window at Stalybridge, Chelsea and West Brom and a huge mob of Chelsea, millwall, hammers, sp...

Match day train travel

I travelled across europe to Rome in 77 a total of 76 hours return-a long story so I won't tell it here. the "special" was a cheap and nasty way to travel but the buzz of getting off the train at United, Ipswich, Leeds, Wolves etc was amazing with hundreds of us pouring off the train. Of course we t...

Pete is genuinely well meaning. I'e met him on numerous occasions at the game, all over the country. I don't think you can question his commitment to DFC and a regular visitor to the board but non-poster til today...either ignore the roh or try your best to be in there. i haven't ever been in the to...
