Re: Raj Singh

Fascinating dissection of Hartlepool’s accounts on Kieran Maguire’s Twitter. They lost 860k for 2018/19, and Singh is already owed £1.5m. Fortunately when it’s time to sell up, he’ll just write it all off like he did with us..... Truly terrifying accounts. Meanwhile, on the BBC Tees Sport podcast, ...

Re: Raj Singh

Didn't something similar happen to Cooper when Singh sacked him? And of course, we know all too well that when Mr Singh doesn't want to be contacted, he can't be contacted. Plenty of similarities between 2011/12 and what's happening at Hartlepool. Maybe all the fawning coverage in the local press ab...

The club are looking at this for everyone who holds any sort of season / flexi / pay monthly ticket now that confirmation has been given that the season has now finished.

To be honest, I had no doubt about that considering the people who are invovled at the club

Re: Fanbase

No one bought half season tickets because we don’t sell them. There is an interesting point about what football clubs do for season ticket holders who have paid for games that aren't now going to be played. One of a multitude of problems all clubs are going to be facing over the coming weeks ...

Re: National League advises ending the season

National League clubs tend to be heavily reliant on income from attendances, so playing behind closed doors would be more destructive. Indeed. The Mail on Sunday's Ollie Holt is reporting the National League won't be returning until January https://twitter.com/OllieHolt22/status/1253055755961405440...

Its got to be hard for fans to commit to donating regularly to their clubs funds when they themselves do not know what the future for their own employment will be. Similar for those clubs running at a loss but financed by a wealthy businessman when they don't know the impact of Covid on their busin...

Re: National League thanks Premier League

I didn't even realise that the solidarity payments reached the national league until this news broke. Obviously it's not a huge value, but if it helps our cash flow then it's good (although borrowing from future income is not really an ideal thing). The Premier League didn't have to do it, so I thi...

Really worrying that in South Korea, they are saying that 91 people previously infected with Coronavirus & were cleared of the disease, have now got the disease back. So dashing the hopes that people who have had the Coronavirus, have got immunity from the disease . Except they don't know if it's r...

I think this thread is quite a measured view on why even PPG isn't perfect. Also seems to suggest 45/60 clubs who signed the letter would be promoted under PPG - not really a surprise they think it is unfair. https://twitter.com/DaleJohnsonESPN/status/1244972439957889026?s=19 I think it was always ...

Re: Season VOIDED

I don't think voiding the season is the easy option - I just think, from what I've seen and read anyway, it's the most realistically workable solution. You’ve just used more words to describe ‘easy’! No I haven't - being realistic is not the same as being easy. All potential decisions are difficult...

Re: Season VOIDED

The FA may well be able to stop transfers, but can they supercede contract law? And if contracts were suspended and then resumed in, say October, we'd have our current wage bill, yet no guarantee that we'd have the income to cover it. Gate receipts could be dramatically down, boost the budget could ...

Those who say this season should be voided have not come up with a sensible suggestion should this problem last into, or reoccur next season. To suggest just playing each other once is just plain bonkers. As has been shown already, large amounts of money have been spent by teams at all levels to ge...

Re: Season VOIDED

There's no easy solutions that's for sure. Anyone who claims its obvious what to do is misguided in my opinion. Whatever happens there will be winners and losers, and huge challenges for some clubs. I'm personally of the opinion that voiding it is the least worst option as it's seemingly going to be...

Re: Our banana munching "friends"

I'm sure, if owners putting money into football club to keep things going is such a bad thing, PJ Poolie will be encouraging Raj Singh not to put any money into Hartlepool over this period. Of course, this would mean Hartlepool go bust, but there we go.

The chairman is gutted after spending a stack of cash on the squad to get Shields up this season and now threatening legal action. I don't think he'll get anywhere with that. I presume an issue is with part-time contracts being 40 weeks long and expiring at the end of April (I think?). If we could get things finished in May then I'm sure something could be sorted out. But what if it's August or even later before we can play football again? Will we be forced to keep the s...

But you still haven't explained how Darlington will emerge in a better position than other clubs following the corona virus outbreak?
