Re: Quaker Retail.

It can still be run online if needed where staff can be protected. A lot of small businesses if they can will need to diversify to survive. Pubs and restaurants need to look at providing delivery services whilst they still can at least. There are a number already starting to advertise this. The inf...

I think the EU will be mortally damaged by current events & our country will be in a far better position to take control of our future. I think I couldnt care less about EU / institutions right now. People are suffering regardless of whether their country is a member or not and the effort to rebuil...

I heard that the NL has now postponed all games.
Did you hear it from the other thread on the message board?

Re: Darlington V Farsley

The new guidance makes it pretty clear for NL makes their mind up for them.

Northern Prem have sent comms out all fixtures are postponed indefinitely. North West Counties has gone as well tonight.

That is football for at least 12 weeks I suspect.

Re: Darlington V Farsley

And even that doesn't deal with the player situation. Player X has a contract to play for a club until 30th June 2020. On the 1st July that player has no contract anymore. You tend to register for a playing season, so player registrations to participate in the competition will still be eligible when...

Re: Darlington V Farsley

With regard to players contracts, these are put on a temporary hold so no players can swap clubs until the season ends This would need more than football authority involvement though a contract is well what it is - the FA / league can't enforce anything with players contracts. The only thing they c...

I don't think that voiding the whole contest is in anyway the plan. I think they are just trying to work out how to bring the campaign to a close with no further fixtures played I'm not sure how this possible. The only way (to me) it's possible is to make sure that nothing is riding on the league t...

Wayne Rooney - "The next World Cup is in November and December 2022, so you could actually use this situation as an opportunity and say we're going to finish the 2019-20 season later this year, then prepare for 2022 by having the next two seasons starting in winter." It would be better if they had more conclusive evidence as well. First one looks incorrect but their players probably does himself out of the fouls by launching himself off the ground the fall looked entirely unnatural. If nothing had been given I am not sure much of a fuss is made it just makes the...

Just one note of interest on the way out Galbraith was smiling and laughing with a fan, (may have been embarrassed laugh?) And Donawa looked a bit dejected. Hope the team can pull themselves back up after that disappointment.
Or just a laugh - it is only football after all.

If as seems likely the season is now over, the big rows will be around what happens to this seasons results & tables. Luckily I don't need to make that decision. But whatever decision is made, your going to get some very unhappy fans & almost certainly this will end up with litigation. I dunno. The...

Ben Strevens at Eastleigh not a happy bunny either. From what I can pick up though all that games being off today did was push people into the pubs I've heard a lot of feedback that they were rammed today - kinda shows why the government might have been happier for people to be outside.

.. If 90% were in that position then herd immunity would kick in, as it is those in that 90% who are the ones carrying it between the most vulnerable as they are fit and healthy and mobile. No more than a glorified friendly imo. Completely disagree, the league will restart again at some point. So points on the point are valuable. I'd fully expect the team to go out there and give it the best shot of getting the 3 points. I'm not convinced. The peak isn't expected for 2 months, and tha...

People seems to be interpreting a move to close mass gatherings as a U-turn. Pretty sure they said there would be a progressive plan which will balance all factors it is a changing and progressing picture and new measures will be brought in as we go. Re: Coronavirus and DFC

Tbf the view from government is that cancelling these things could do more harm than good. If I've interpreted the comms it is possible that it won't flatten the curve as they hoped - it could cause a lull and then the peak they were keen to avoid a few weeks later. This will mean more strain on NHS...

I've had email saying conversations are still ongoing with NL but I suspect it will go the same way.

Suspect one of the factors now will be where the PL / EFL fans will go if they find out their local non-league game is on.

Re: Last home game for a while?

The sad part of this is that the best form of defence is to isolate those who are most vulnerable. 90%+ of us can get this virus we will cause no extra burden on the health service and after 4/5 days we will be immune and the risk then to the vulnerable will plummet. If 90% were in that position the...

The experts they get on certainly seem to say the risk is associated with effectively transmission of water droplets which is then rubbed into mouth / nose and eyes. It doesn't transmit very well outdoor and not particularly long living on clothing. Wrapped up in the openness of Blackwell meadows sh...

They simply do not want us at BM other than from a financial aspect, hence my comment regarding if we did relocate to the arena they would get what they deserve regarding lost revenue. Yes there may well be latent demand for hospitality, or it could be that people tried it, weren't particularly impressed, and then won't come back. Once bitten, twice shy and all that. Well yes could be that - specific actions and statements made by the club suggest otherwise though. I'd sort of me...

We can't fill the existing hospitality at Blackwell anymore because they've increased the prices. That is misinformation - we increased the prices.
