Re: Darlo's High Street

Clearly Town Centres are not delivering what the public currently want as a retail experience. The move to online shopping and retail parks with free parking etc. have accelerated the process. No town or City centre will be immune. A National Strategy, properly funded, perhaps based around specialis...

Re: The FA Cup banana skins....

For fluck sake. It’s not unwinnable, but it could have been a *lot* easier, and I can’t imagine it’ll be a big crowd either. It will be if we do the sensible thing and charge a fiver with kids for a quid... flood the advertising across town so that everyone knows and we may get a fair few thousand....

Gramps, if you would like to call me spineless to my face then I would love to have that conversation. I didn’t get personal on character, you did. Unfortunately I believe that you will continue to hide behind your keyboard, patronising others behind a screen. Sounds like someone has been called ou...

David Mills (DM) who did a fine job for Darlington FC, under challenging circumstances, with a particularly challenging individual deserves better than some of the throw away comments being made. This is actually "old news" other than being opted to the board DM, thankfully health recovered has been...

On first glance difficult to see how we would fit into this plan. Has as been said appears all about MPRFC and the World cup. One interesting note on the Northern Echo feature is the name Richard Upshall appearing again, strikingly similar to the vision he was proposing a few year back, but in a dif...

Re: Darlo's High Street

A friend and I were discussing this recently, prior to the House of Fraser announcement. Darlington Council , like many others were seduced by developers and Supermarkets. Little or no consideration for the long term impact on Town Centres. Indeed Dixon & Co. still seem unable to Dance out of the sp...

York FC: Initial Frendlies

No mention of the proposed DFC Friendly on the "initial list" ...given the time it has been known you would have thought it would have been top of the list ... odd The club has today announced an initial schedule of three friendly fixtures which will be played ahead of the 2018-19 season. League One...

He is simply not good enough.
Lacks the ability or strength to hold the ball up, or link up bringing others into the game.
Speed to burn , however forgets to take the ball with him.
Be surprised if he is still with us next season

Don’t forget the impact on his academy too... And that! I'm not sure how the finances of these academies work (as it's a 16-18 vocational qualification are they centrally funded?) but presumably our new academy will impact on MGFA in terms of numbers and the link up it had with DFC (i.e. he'll have...
