Re: My old man enjoyed the Darlo Experience

excellent... it starts with interest ... sounds like the seeds of a good idea to me, bring a relative/ friend to a game ... something the club might want to raise the profile on

Re: auction of darlo stuff

Most of the stuff was bought by 2 buyers @ around 70% to 30% ratio. Local quick buck merchants. No one from the club that i saw. A couple of lots went to Great Ayton juniors, so that,s great, put to good use. Here is an example a bale of 50 badged leather footballs - £42 Boxes of polo neck t shirts ...

Re: CHAIRMAN'S BLOG LATEST

Mike Amos the godfather of the NL. All this negativity towards Darlo. Ban him from the Brittania. On a positive not, i took my lad and his friend, did anyone notice the secondary game at the side of Dunston Clubhouse.? just after half time. it was the kids that were representing the 2 teams, and loc...

Re: auction of darlo stuff

Just returned from sale of ex Darlo stock ... sad to see the carpet baggers get so much for so little ...assume the proceeds go to the receiver, not that they were much, maybe £200 in total

Just viewed the stock, dont know where they were hiding it at the Arena as the shop was never well stocked. Quite a range of items. Seemed little interest from those there

Re: Ideas For Sustainability

I was really impressed last night by the Guisborough volunteer organisation. They seemed to clearly understand, and as such maximise the opportunity. Importantly they ensured all proceeds from the sundries went to the club (not taking the easy organisational route of sticking a burger van in the cor...

Re: Just back from match

Dreadful performance, we were outplayed and out fought across the park. The back four were unrecognisable from previous games, can Brown be missed that much? Grieve is cumbersome and for his size lacks dominance in the air, Arjun has a bit of class about him, however needs a bit more size to be able...

Re: Gary Brown

Gary has been excellent, not only in his personal play, his leadership qualities are clear. Can be a leading light in this league and as was said, who knows with more time to devote to training etc. would only improve his overall fitness and he could go onto a higher level. For now we need to nurtur...

Fantastic, who ever developed the idea of aligning it with schools, rather than booking by individuals needs applauding. This will engender interest amongst the kids and to the parents. Needs to be monitored and developed, special packages, family, father and son, birthday etc. What is the school sc...

Lets get a real Feetham,s feel to the place, we have a doppleganger "Tin Shed" why not an old toilet block that was between the Tin Shed and West Stand....TROUGH AND WALL ran into a sluice, or sewage system ... shared cost on basic needs

Re: Darlington v Marske Match Thread

With the exception of a couple of first half defensive lapses, a solid all round performance. The highlight has to be Steve Johnson, his enthusiasm and determination to do well for his home town team should be an inspiration to every Darlo supporter past and present to get up and give some encourage...

Anything over 1000 on Tuesday a bonus. Keep winning is the key, and with good Northern Echo & Local radio coverage, sure we could expect season average of around 1300 is my view.

On the field is absolute key...

Days of the Raj...and the rest of them

After the short lived post "Days of the Raj" spit, spit Euphoria, then back to earth, like a fair few i suspect, i became a little despondent. We do not go to all the home matches, but take in 75% each season. Lately, and particularly as it seems we have managed to "lance" the parasites that have do...

Re: Last Nights Meeting

Raj is a business man not a benefactor as he would like to have been percieved. The widespread practice of football club chairmen making loans to clubs, in many cases deliberately becoming the major creditor, is morally repugnant and should be subject of very close inspection by the FA and other pow...
