Re: EURO 2016

On tonight's showing, Rashford fully deserves to be in the England squad, and Rooney had a good game too.

Re: EURO 2016

Hodgson has also always been pretty clear that the players who got us through qualifying deserved to go to the tournament, so it's no surprise to see Milner, Llallana, etc in the squad over the likes of Antonio, Noble, Carroll etc. Also, Michael Antonio isn't particularly a youngster in footballing...

Re: EURO 2016

I am sure I put in my post that I am not sure Roy had that many other options - my point was more the squad strength is really poor. I don't dispute there aren't many other options available. Give me a break. I've been watching England properly since Euro 96. I can't think of a worse squad in terms...

Re: EURO 2016

England squad announced today...oh dear. Tom Heaton - there will be some people who don't even know who he is. CBs - Cahill / Stones / Smalling such weak choices. I'd go with Stones and Smalling but only because I can't face another tournament with Cahill as our first choice CB. MID - Wilshere? WIL...

Re: EU Referendum

Thanks for the well thought out and detailed response, it's given me a lot more information on the subject, and forced me to do a bit of my own research. However, you still haven't convinced me, and here's why: Norway Russia, USA, Canada etc. None of these are in the EU and all seem to be doing fine...

Re: EU Referendum

I'm voting out as at least then we will have total control over our own country, and only one set of politicians ruling over us. The thing is, what you espouse isn't true. If we want to trade with Europe, which without our economy won't function, we will need to sign a trade agreement with the EU w...

Re: TEAMS in our league next season ~ announced

I'm pretty sure that the FA agreed to AFC Wimbledon claiming the FA Cup win in their history. I think that the FA also agreed that we can claim the history (and presumably honours like the FA Trophy win and 4th Div/Conference titles) of Darlington FC. I'm sure there was an announcement at some poin...

Boston U Bradford PA Halifax T Gainsborough T Kiddermintser H Stalybridge C Stockport C Bradford and Halifax are reformed teams so these clubs never played in Football League. Re: lewis nightingale Arran Wearmouth Jordan Watson

I hope very much they are a success, but let's not make definitive statements without seeing them play in our system. Who's making definitive statements like? Onewayup's "Will defo improve the squad" seems fairly definitive to me, like. It's impossible to make definitive statements at this point, e...

I never said he was shite just I donthink think he is as good as some of you do. Fair enough, we all have opinions, but taking goals away from his tally is cheating. If he did only score one goal in the last third of the season what does that tell you? That despite only scoring one goal in the last...

Re: Current Squad and Contracts

Think Gaskell will be released if we sign who we are after. Why on earth would we release Gaskell?!? Nonsense. Because he lives & works over 2 hours away, is the wrong side of 30 & scored just once in the last 1/3 of the season. Not saying it would be the right or wrong decision but those are the f...

Re: Virgin Trains - this is very poor on their part

Tomkaak's analysis of the situation is spot on. The rules are simple. You buy a ticket from A to B, alighting at another station is not permitted. The values of the ticket is irrelevant. Graeme So you're saying rules are always correct and should never be challenged, questioned, or changed?...
