Re: AGM

It would appear that our former CM is now a big fan of Spennymoor Town. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk He used to play for them, Spennymoor United to be precise, and they were having an old boys reunion. One of their match day sponsors yesterday also sponsored Darlo games a couple of times whil...

Re: Hereford

Agree Holness should be in our starting line-up. There wasn't too much wrong with our midfield trio of Hatfield, Wheatley and Holness earlier in the season, was there? Except we had O'Neill up front. We haven't got anyone to fill that role now. Campbell needs a big lad up there to bring the best ou...

Re: Hereford

Personally I prefer team players. After Styche got his call up for Gibraltar (whilst playing for us) it all went downhill. Loss of form - slagged off from the Tinshed, then numerous transfers downwards. I think he sees himself as top dog but to be top dog you need to be Gabbiadini standard - which ...

Yes they did. Late decision to do so as it had been pulled originally.

Re: Leamington at home

Blyth game on. Darlington no confidence with pitch, surely it can't be as bad as the Tranmere v Manchester United game DFC just making the sensible decision. Cant expect to put teams and fans in danger by making them travel in treacherous conditions. But then again, Spenny arent that bothered about...

You sometimes wonder whether they would be better placed selling the land to developers and using proceeds to build themselves something elsewhere in the town away from danger.
And what would the developers develop on land that is regularly underwater? A open air swimming pool maybe?

Re: Guiseley

Can someone explain Connell’s booking? It might just be a blind spot in my knowledge... but at first I thought he had handled outside the area and was baffled by the yellow... then I saw later on the twitter updates the free kick was *just* inside the box, and that it was for a back pass... 1) he d...

Nothing wrong with the Team . Nor Management. Give your all , expect a Contract extension. Whispering grass suggests they are being blocked . So can't expect 100% on pitch . If not matched off it . Then I will be called a Troll for telling the truth . Is 3-2-1 back ? No clue whatsoever Maybe he mea...

Re: Spennymoor game off

I think you will find that the spennymoor pitch was ok when altrincham set off, and it was only small area where the linesman had been running previously, whereas Kettering had been waterlogged since Tuesday. The jealousy on this forum is at another level So the pitch got worse after the rain stopp...

Re: Spennymoor game off

A referee is obliged to consider the safety of the players when making his decision. As has been pointed out there isn't a lot of space between the edge of the pitch and the perimeter fence. Had a player done a slide tackle in the soggy area he could well have slid into the fence and got injured. Th...

Try Fizzer on Whessoe Road for the cabin, he does summerhouses etc with electrics so would probably be right up his street.

Re: Spennymoor Away

That perimeter fence might be a bit more secure if there was one single advertising board to bolster it. I've never seen a ground with so little advertising in it as I did looking at the highlights. Is their fantastic business model based on gaining no revenue whatsoever? It wouldn’t make any diffe...

Re: Spennymoor Away

Personally I think BG is going to try and finance them all the way to the football league, like Salford, Crawley, FGR, Fleetwood before them, although it'll be interesting to see how they get the ground up to 5,000 from 3,000 after all of the recent work? Thats the plan apparently, however they hav...

The whole ground should be shut down and that fence checked all the way round because it its all been fitted as badly as that section then it could quite easily give way again.

We have heard plenty from various Spennymoor sources so why nothing from us? Even if its a case of "we are concerned about events and waiting for further details etc" rather than a deafening silence.
