Re: Rugby League

Rob, Saints next weekend and I am dreading it. We might have Mulhern back but I am hearing 3 more doubtful after last night. That will mean a minimum of 5 players who have never played senior rugby before. Thinking our record defeat may be in serious danger and a long drive back up the M6 to the bo...

Re: Paul Scholes

Apparently the owner signed a non interference agreement with Scholes to say that he wouldn’t get involved with picking the team, then promptly broke this arrangement. Scholes must have seen which way the wind was blowing. Even so he knows the club, his boyhood team, think management is just not fo...

Re: Paul Scholes

The problem here is Scholes must have known what his owner wanted, he has seen the club from outside and took the job knowing the possible problems. He is a quitter simple, 5 weeks is no way long enough to put his mark on the club, he is a multi millionaire, stick with your buddies at Salford, this ...

Re: Piece on us in the new When Saturday Comes

Should it's written by Harry Pearson, one of my favourite sports writers and author of the Far Corner, absolutely indispensable book on north-east football. Brilliant book, and I had a chat to Harry at the game, he asked me a few questions not sure if they got covered in the article, will have to b...

Re: Rugby League

Rob, it really annoys me pre season the fans were saying this was our best recruitment for years. (I actually believe it is), but 5 games in we are total sh27t. People did not realise how damaging those ruddy middle 8's were. As the only club in them every season they were played they are going to ...

Totally agree but we lost it only because of the disruption Hardaker caused a couple of days before, luckily you now have him to fuck things up for you

Re: Rugby League

yeah I appreciate HKR have massive injury problems so they did well to cope, poor ref as you say, was listening to Humberside radio on way home and their fans were slaughtering them! When will McGuire learn to keep his mouth shut ? Time for him to retire.

Re: Rugby League

Darlo Pete whats this about cheating again ? Super League champions Wigan Warriors have been given a two-point deduction for a salary cap breach during 2017. The penalty, which includes a £5,000 fine, relates to six separate payments totalling £14,700, which were not declared to the Rugby Football L...

[Really think this is their level Nick, that away end should have been bursting at the seams with the free buses laid on but reckon they only had about 300.Imagine if we were challenging ,we would have taken 1200 up there ....that is the difference between the 2 clubs. Re: DFCSG AGM

The point I was trying to make and got it wrong was that I would not pick on individuals, I well know we have a lot of exile members, people who work etc etc, but really we should have had more members there, an opportunity to meet new board members and ask questions. Its just about making a little ...
