Re: Tamworth v Darlington Match Thread

Problems with the bullet train? Problems indeed. At one point we thought we were stuck in Tamworth relying as we did on the last train and seeing the “cancelled” sign on the departure board The bullet was only 45 minutes or so late but luckily so was the connection we had to pick up in Stoke otherw...

Re: Tamworth Rearranged

That's fantastic Dodger, 23 minutes...is that the bullet train?!! So much for The Bullet train out of Tamworth is at best delayed and at worst cancelled. I think I am well on the way to being, at best, stuck in Stoke and at worst I’ll be stuck in Tamworth station. relying on the last train out of T...

Re: New kit is number four

Ok so that is the home kit sorted, but what about the away kit? Please can we have some high visibility material next season - am almost nostalgic for that pink strip we had.... :D Puma make the Borussia Dortmund Kit and their home shirt would be an idea for the Darlo away kit for next season. Keep...

Re: New kit is number four

I think we should let the squad decide next season. They have to wear the shirt (semi) professionally.

Re: Puma to make the new kits

Well I’ve played safe and gone for 5 but the more I think about it I like the idea behind 2 & 3. They (in particular 3) look to have have a BVB (also Puma) inspired design about them. As others have pointed out though they’re likely to just look grey and less dramatic than the yellow and black of BVB.

Re: Tamworth Rearranged

I was thinking that getting a train back to Stockport from Tamworth after the game would be unlikely but I'm wrong. Last train for me leaves Tamworth at 22.15 and gets to Stockport at 22.38 so fine for me. Cracking journey that mind, Virgin have got new bullet trains running[emoji23] Oops! I Blinki...

1. The view if there is a big crowd. I appreciate however that not a lot can be done about that. 2. Catering. I’m not setting out to knock what we have but the in ground food (I can’t speak about the meals sponsors get) doesn’t seem to be as good as that on sale at one or two other grounds in this d...

Just heading back from the game and yes James Caton certainly did make a difference with some excellent play down the left. Trotman also excellent throughout the games and unsurprisingly Turnbull was influential ran things once he came on.

If the weather in Chorley has been anything like that we have had in Stockport overnight / today then the pitch is likely to be heavy. We had an awful lot of rain overnight / this morning and heavy showers today

Re: Best player against Darlo?

Surely it has to be David Beckham who I believe played for Man Utd at Darlo in the FA Youth Cup. I also thought (but I may well be wrong) that a young David Beckham played against Darlo when he was on loan at Preston North End. Otherwise I think that the most likely contender will come from Leicest...

"What if some of these clubs who don't normally video games just set a static webcam up behind one of the goals (to view the whole pitch) and the club just sent in a crappy low-resolution video... would that fulfill their obligation to the league?" This seems to me to be an excellent idea but for ob...

Has anybody taken into consideration the fact that at least some of the people who have committed funds to the latest 3 appeals (Pitch, Seating Phase 1 and Boost The Budget) might have second thoughts if a decision is made to allow Raj Singh to acquire shares in the club? I suspect that some might f...

I too was at the match at Leeds. It was indeed a great night but my memories of the evening are not entirely pleasant. Re: Hyde United VS Darlington FC

There was a camera set up on a tripod at the back of the main stand. If it wasn't from Darlington it must have belonged to Hyde so highlights / goals might become available on the Hyde web site. Amongst other things I would like to see the offside decision against Nathan Cartman after the Hyde defen...
