Season ticket for Mikkyx?
Hi Everyone, I work alongside MikkyX and I'd just like to point out all the hard work and effort Mikkyx has been putting in, to not only keeping this site going, but also all of the spare time he's been putting in to making the new Uncovered site which will be launching soon. With him just becoming ...

Re: The Quakerhouse Acoustic Night - Saturday 18th July
This will be £3 to get in and will be upstairs in the Quakerhouse, the regular spot for Monday nights Open Acoustic nights.
We're putting together a list of talented local musicians to entertain you for the night, and there'll also be a raffle.
I'll update this with who's playing at a later date.

Why not have have an eflyer and send it to all the contacts on the trusts new updated database from the vote and the CIC members as well. I love brain storming. That too, but that would be to people who already know. It's also easier to ignore an email than it is to ignore a flyer through your door.

Bishop are home 9 times in the first 23 matches, whereas we are home 14 times. Bishop are at home on Boxing Day as well as opening day, and while there is no guarantee that any club will be at home on those two dates, there would obviously be hell on if we were assigned a home match in preference o...

Re: posters for games
What about doing a bunch of them as A5 leaflets, and posting them through peoples letterboxes? I'm sure there are enough people on here to be able to print them off on our own printers, maybe take an estate each which is near to where you live and post to all of the houses on that estate. I think we...

The Quakerhouse Acoustic Night - Saturday 14th July
The Quakerhouse will be hosting an Acoustic Night in aid of Darlington FC on Saturday 14th July from 8:30pm, so pop along after you've been to the match at Whitby. There's always some fine talented musicians on show at these Acoustic nights, and this one promises to be great too. Originally it was g...

Simple idea for you boys
Very good idea thanks, it's these kinds of things that will bring the community together instead of the former owners putting a huge gap between the club and it's fans, not to mention potential fans.

Over 400 season tickets sold!
Can we stop this fake count and wait for an official figure?, if you're way off the mark you're only going to disappoint people if the total ends up lower.

Re: Player Sponsorship
Just out of interest, with our players being part time - what happens if you sponsor someone for £100 then he moves on after 2 games?
Will you get to sponsor someone new, or will you just get their shirt there and then?
This is pretty likely to happen isn't it?

Re: New Shirt Sponser
There's certainly a feeling with some of the more bitter NL fans that you're exposure on the Echo outweighs the status of your club. A view that is only likely to get worse as a result of this. I can see their point add your are just another NL side, but if they choose to sponsor you then it gives ...

Black text on a white hoop would work best, I reckon. I would love it to be that, you know then it would look like the Echo logo on their website. I'm sure they'll have someone smart on the job, who will have a good sense of design and want to preserve the brand awareness, thus keeping the layout t...

I never said it is the Northern Echo - it was a pure guess from me. So until it is announced, who knows who it is, or why they are sponsors and how much it's worth? Don't worry, I was just speculating too :) - more so for loanstars reaction to your original post than anything else. You do have a ke...

Fantastic news Hilly.
By the way I'm loving our fans being in charge of things like this. For all these 'business men' we been employing for big money over the years who are 'experts' in marketing. We've already surpassed them with this online store. Well done all involved

So this would be their £10k investment? - That would be a shame because weren't they going to put that in anyway?, this way we'd miss out on an extra sponsor - hopefully the sponsorship deal is worth a little more.Quakerz wrote:Northern Echo

For me it's a daily reminder of how the FA shafted us above all else. I don't want to forget that the FA shafted us - that will mean that they got away with it and when asked why are we called 1883, I'll take great please in telling everyone that the FA shafted us, along with former chairmen - but ...

11: Carlsberg developed the pure yeast Saccharomyces Carlsbergensis in 1883. All lagers now use this yeast to ensure a consistent golden liquid every time. (could be a novel way to get a sponsor from Carlsberg?)

Re: I know why the FA have been so keen to shaft us
I think it's because they are responsible for letting clubs like us be destroyed by chairmen that they haven't vetted properly.
It's their fault so what's the best way to hide it? Relegate us into oblivion and make us change our name so all will be forgotten? Darlington Who?

If this season ends up being an enjoyable one, being back on the terraces, like I feel it will having stood there today then going back to the arena next season if that really is in the pipeline would kill it for me. Terraces Forever!

Re: Open Day - Shirts and Season Tickets
It's true that money can't buy success, but it's going to go a hell of a long way for the future of this club. You're getting to see your team for a lot cheaper than you have in previous years, and I know the standard won't be as good, but if we charge the same as teams in our division we're only go...
