Re: Euro SuperLeagueCup, for the selected few.

Let them go.

They can take Sky, the Sheikh/Oligarch owners, the 38th game abroad suits, the plastic fans living hundreds of miles away and the overpaid, whining, usually imported players with them.

Gives the rest of us a chance to return to decent football.

Re: Darlington v Peterborough playoff final May 2000

Vivid memories of this game, first proper away trip with my Dad and brother at age of 11, first time to London as well. Mam had me decked out in Darlo stuff from head to toe. Poured down the whole day, we battered them for almost all the game for Clarke to pop up and see them hold on to go up. Was c...

First start. At home. Not been with us very long. Playing in front of more fans than he might be used to. Aware of the pressure to hit the ground running with his previous goal tally and good competition for his place. Maybe we should give the lad a bit of time to find his feet before we go making a...

Re: Why I have a severe dislike of Poolies

Every club has it's arsehole element, for every allezfc there's a Poolie who put money in the bucket when we were in the brown stuff.

Events at Salford and Blyth show we aren't free of knuckle draggers in our own support either.

I find this really odd, recently Doug Richards was caught having had sex with a 13 year old after he gave her and a friend money for clothes etc. Bearing in mind hes 57. Nothing seems to have been said and he was cleared of all charges! Adam johnson is coming in for some serious stick (quite rightl...

Re: Hignett new Pools Manager

Said it in the other thread but I've seen a fair bit of York this season as I have a mate who's a season ticket holder and they are pretty dire. Dagenham are too, Newport could well drop down again now Sheridan has gone, Yeovil continue to freefall through the divisions and Pools have games in hand ...

From someone who's seen a fair bit of York this season, they are bloody awful. So are Dagenham, Yeovil and Newport.

Don't expect to see Pools drop a division just yet.

Not a chance of Reus going to Liverpool, Klopp or otherwise.

The likes of Gundogan, Schmelzer or Grosskreutz are more where they are at the moment.

Klopp was allegedly approached even before Rodgers was sacked. I think Klopp would be a great addition to the Premier League, a larger than life character. For once DP, I agree with you. Klopp seems like an interesting manager in his approach and how he'd interview etc, his record with youth would ...

Have York got a strong team out .. York City line-up v Darlington: Ingham, Player A, Swan, Nolan, Ilesanmi, Carson, Godfrey, Platt, Rzonca, Player B, Meikle. Second string players (Ingham, Platt), players coming back from injury (Carson, Nolan, Swan) and transfer listed (Meikle, Ilesanmi). The rest...

Live in York these days so keep an eye on the team. Got mullered by Harrogate Town a couple of days ago and most of the forward line are already injured. I think it's time to call G for Gateshead. The International stadium is within the local area and has excellent transport links and is only a further 30 miles from Bishop. We cannot take our chances at Heritage Park being refused promotion next season would be disasterous. Although not ideal it wou...

I'm sure it is in that ball-park, yes. We must've used 5 goalkeepers at least - Liversedge, Knight, Hoult, Pickford (?), and also that disaster who played one game against Notts County - Ashley something or other? Ashlee Jones, hands down the worst 'professional' footballer I've ever seen. Made Cra...

Had a bit of a root about. Seems Geohaghan is a free agent after leaving Nuneaton. Probably still a massive prick as well. Soderberg is back in Sweden with Kalmar. Hollis is at Notts Co. and getting first team games. Bagnall is at Warrenpoint in NI. Tagdh is playing in Australia. Michael Brough is a...
