Re: Signings for next season

Stop playing Michael Smith up front next to The HITMAN. We don't score enough because he does not have the instinct. Stop saying stuff I agree with! I can also see Senior being released in the summer. Michael Smith is not an out and out goalscorer. He will weigh in with 10/12 next season, but...

Re: An end to an unbeaten run...

Realistically, play-offs were always a longshot. What today proved is that, when our first eleven play well we are a good team. When they don't, or any of them are missing, we are an average side. Hatch/Smith doesn't work as a partnership. They are too alike. Campbell needs game time, as, coming on ...

Re: Campbell is ruled out for another week

I think Modest made the game swing in our favour, he gave the centre backs something else to think about. I don't think he's too bad a player, prefer him to Tommy Wright, who was blowing out of his arse after 47 seconds. Quakerz - Is Modest better or worse than Michael Smith, cause i know you think...

Re: Last-ditch bid to take the Quakers back home

This is getting ridiculous the Arena is not the problem it has great facilities and is well used throughout the week. The problem is we are getting 1800 fans 600 hundred of those paying on the day. If we got 3500 - 4000 then things would be different. The Feethams thing is a total a distraction whi...

Re: This is why we have no chance of making the playoffs

Senior will have to start, or Campbell - because Michael Smith is cup tied (thankfully)
Why is being unable to hold onto a two goal lead Michael Smith's fault! How many times have we thrown it away when he hasn't played and Senior has? We have an experienced Midfield and defence, and perhaps...

Re: Main and Smith - Don't......

Smith and Main were the best option last night, at least to start. However, they are not Cooper's first choice partnership. To my mind Cooper's pecking order is Hatch/Smith/Wright as target with Campbell/Senior/Modest/Main playing off them. With Hatch out, Smith came in, with Campbell out, Senior no...

Smith and Senior. Our recent run has coincided with us keeping the ball better, and getting the likes of MBW / Verma on it more. Smith will keep the ball, and bring others in to play, Wright will not.

Re: Totally Embarrasing Result

Luton a class above darlo pure and simple And so they should be, the money they have spent and the support they have. It's like Stoke playing at Man Utd. Usually hard to beat, but if Utd on top of their game, 4-0 is no suprise. Tonight Luton were on top of their game. Not the end of the world, and ...

Looking at that photo on the Kettering website, there was no way that the match was going to be on. Bit of consideration for the travelling fans would have been nice - it's not like it was Gateshead or York is it?

Re: Yet another missed opportunity

Whilst the result and performance was disappointing, did Tuesday actually affect our chances of making the play-offs? Grimsby, Fleetwood lost, Kidderminster drew, and Mansfield didn't gain anything on us. Wonder how their fans reacted. On balance, since xmas things have been a lot better. Let's not ...

last night he just looked dis-interested for whatever reason, he had shown glimpses of his pace before that BUT he should have had a field day last night against Fozzie From 5 minutes in you could tell we were going to hoof it long all night. Re: greg Taylor

Don't think Arnison should have been dropped. However, Taylor is a left back who can play Centre Half, being asked to play Right Back. Didn't think he was that awful last night - as average as most of them were. Did show some nice skills at times, so can obviously play. Far, far to soon to be passin...

[Shame - Can't fault the lads effort and committment but poor anticipation and some dreadful finishing. For me he needs to be used from the bench, build up his confidence that way. Not ready to lead the line for 90 minutes. His misses basically cost us the game, sad to say it but true - 5 Main misse...

Overall a well deserved win but I would change the forward line for Saturday. If Cooper is going to play Smith and Main it's got to be one or the other and not together
Why? What would Wright/Louis give you those two didn't on Saturday. From your earlier comments it's obvious you would leav...

He won plenty in the 1st half. 2nd half he dropped off a bit. I agree he doesn't go in hard enough, but to say he didn't win any headers today is nonsense. Agreed, first half he won plenty of headers, especially from throw-ins. However, he also looks to bring the ball down and keep possession - som...

Re: Liam Hatch

As a forward, this season, with Cooper's formation, he didn't impress. Spent to much time chasing back, not enough in and around the box. He seemed to get fed up as well, and started falling over whenever anyone went near him, and appealing to the ref after every challenge. As a defender, different ...

Re Chris Senior, I don't think anyone on this thread has suggested the lad is not a trier as he certainly puts a shift in, and he is our top scorer at the moment. However these things should not mask the fact that if we have serious hopes of getting promoted then we need a better striker than Senio...

still early days but deffo a poor start so far. To be honest I don't understand why he has tinkered with midfield MBW, Broughy and Smith were looking very comfortable, taking Smith out has been a mistake In my view, he wasn't the worst player yesterday - MBW, Brough, Verma and Wright were as bad if...

Re: Hatch at the back - Again?!

What's wrong with his perfectly good career as centre forward? Hatch is a journeyman centre forward at best, hence why he never got a look in at Peterborough. Could have an ok career around Div 2 / Conference for years to come. What Cooper is saying, I think, is that he could go higher if he develo...

Also a point I have heard a few times with friends who do not attend is the lack of identity with the Team, now this is a victim of circumstance but if I went to to watch Darlo next week there is only the legacy players I would recognise or know, and they themselves are not characters, I think it i...

Re: Thoughts on Saturday...

I think you have to be disappointed with the result, and the performance. Wrexham were pretty poor - came for a point, hoping that they might get lucky on a break, which they did. Most teams will now do the same, and the evidence is we don't have the wit to break them down. 93 minutes to breakdown S...

I would say he was considerably quicker than Convery and Mulligan. Can't see why he isn't given a chance - if Offiong can be given three or four games to prove his worth (which we all knew was zero pretty much straight away), don't know why Moore isn't worth a punt.
