Re: Thommo

Spendmore have just gave 7 players new contracts so I can't see Tommo signing there, but if he does good on him get as much money as he can Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk I actually thought the opposite. Since Roberts has left to go back down south then they’ll be looking for an attacking wid...

Re: Former players

in regards to Hopson, he tweeted that the manager was going for a different style of play which he wouldn't suit. Could be an excuse the manager has given, as Whitby seem to be doing well for a team of their size (plus the geography must cause issues). I'd be interested to see if we would look at Ji...

Re: The moment we've all been waiting for...

I think a source of financial issue always will be players wages. 20/25 years ago wages weren't a massive issue, but since the introduction of sky and the amount of £££ they've put in, clubs have made more money meaning that players could ask for more money and this has spiralled through the divisio...

got to agree with gramps.

Although, Elliott looks better recently, if there was a decent keeper out there, then I'd be taking the opportunity to sign one.

Re: Retention for next year

I'll be honest I would expect an u23 at Newcastle to be earning more than someone at Carlisle but I don't really know after that point it is all a bit of a guess. You don't but I think the perspective is that Armstrong probably does and see him as pivotal. It’s guesswork yes, but I’d also suggest A...

Re: Retention for next year

If I had to be brutal (which the world of football is), I would say: GK - if AA can line someone up then, I'd release both Connell and Elliott. If not, then retain Elliott RB - I'd expect Trotman to go, Hedley to stay LB - Liddle is excellent (Watson is likely to be a cheap backup for LB and CB) CB ...

Re: Boston Away

Looking at the highlights of the Spendy game, there's hardly anyone there. It's clear that when they give the attendance figure they are including every one of the cut-price and the many free season ticket holders as having attended, whether they do or not. I would have thought the actual attendanc...

from memory Osagi did get a run in the team, then had to be pulled out because of international duty and hasn't got back in since. Wheatley getting back to fitness being the main one. Decent player, but we have better, so no point in holding on.

Good luck to him

1st goal, ref was correct other than the yellow card. Most annoying thing was we caused it ourselves. 1. The quick throw to Hedley (which you could argue wasn't anything bad) 2. He panicked a bit and passed it straight back 3. It bobbles up and Connell instinctively puts his hand up 4. They they pu...

I don't think we've played in hoops for that much of the last 30 years, so to say it's our identity doesn't really work for me. Not true, we've played in hoops for most of the last 30 years. Re: Trotman joins villa

At least Trotman has been in contact with the club about it, and by the sounds of it, he first made contact about it in October, which gives the club plenty of time to make up their mind. Didn't someone one year just go on Love Island and not tell the club. Regarding Trotman's future, I would expect...

Re: Guiseley

A proper team effort. Don't think Watson deserves being canned. He probably should have done better for the goal. Remember that Felix is IMO one of the best and quickest players in this league. Wouldn't mind him here. I do remember that on two occasions Guiseley got into some good positions and Wats...

Great Interview and he comes across really well. On the basis of those articles, it seems he is destined to go higher One thing surprised me. I think Armstrong has said that Watson will play, but he'll struggle to do 2/3 games a week, so he might look to bring someone in. He's also stated that Tez is a CB and not a LB. I like Armstrong more and more

Re: Spennymoor game off

The referee decided to call the game off. The issue I'd have with Spenny was the twitter post saying they weren't expecting any issues. This meant fans will have travelled. Also, did they not inspect the part of the pitch that had an issue. It did look poor and that area needs sorting. So they shoul...

yes, it's not like the Northern League year, or the year we beat spenny then Bamber Bridge in playoffs. Would have been disaster if we didn't get promoted those years. This year feels relaxed. I thought the handball that the ref didn't give was obvious first time around, but watching the highlights, it looks as if the ref got it right. It also doesn't stop the fact that we had people to defend the corners and it was a mistake that led to the goal. Even though we were clearly better in the...

Re: Darlington V Gloucester

someone mentioned that Connell, Reid and Martin aren't eligible for Wednesday. So I'd fully expect Martin to start. Reid depends on how fit he is (looked tired against Spenny). I don't think keepers necessarily need resting, so not bothered who it is (as long as Elliott doesn't get injured for Wedne...

It's all good in hindsight now, but bringing on Holness for Reid around the hour mark might have helped. Reid looks a bit leggy after 3 full 90s in quick succession. Can understand if he wanted to keep things the same as at that point we weren't in massive danger

Got to agree with Darlo Pete about the 2 turnstiles. That was another amateurish thing. Didn't believe that if there was only 863 of our fans, that there was around 1400 spenny fans. An EXTRA 600ish fans...not for me. But they were never going to say over the 900 were they. We have to take some resp...
