An angle to consider??

This is from The Fishy tonight - is it possible? 'The Chairmans statment is a clear indicator that he is helping the consortium to do what is known as a "pre-pack" in the world of business finance. For those that aren't familiar with this I will explain: - Lets use a hypothetical book debt of £2mill...

Re: 1 in 1 out.

I certainly won,t lose any sleep over any of the players we have released with the possible exception of Taylor even though he was a decent utility player who had not really found his true position, is he a full back, centre half or a midfielder, not sure to be honest. The club have done some great ...

Re: Betting Suspended....... It's Liddle

I asked honest questions and he gave honest answers. Sometimes we would have a laugh and joke. Obviously things are a little more fraught when results aren't so good. I always want the team to win, whoever the manager is, and of couse the manager always wants to win. I wasn't as close to him as I h...

That's why I thought he could stay on as assistant to somebody a bit more dynamic - he has links with Jewell doesn't he? I think he'd be a great coach, and am sorry he has gone in that capacity

Re: Bournemouth, How do they do it?

Eddie Howe is proving that Colin Todd did NOT do the best he possibly could under the circumstances. They've probably got a similar budget to us yet they're top of the league. Wylam_rangers et al are complete and utter idiots who do not know what they're talking about. Eddie Howe is doing a great j...

Re: Sunday Sun..

1. He is not fat at all 2. Could he work under another boss, maybe with Hull links, like Steve Parkin? (somebody else's shout on another thread). If he was brought in under a contract then this might save another payout. He also has Boro connections, which seem to have dominated things since RS took...

Re: Bournemouth, How do they do it?

All down to him IMO. He comes across well in his interviews. He is younger than big Stevie Fletcher, who used to captain him at Dean Court, but despite this has the total respect of the players. He is exactly the TYPE of manager I'd like to take a punt on. I can't take many more 'Yer Know' merchants...

That's too much of an easy thing to say. Would you have scored a goal like the one at Acc? He does more than just run around aimlessly, even when he has to chase some of the tripe he was served with today.

Re: Gall misses sitter

Fair point Q, but he's a useful lad to have around - he and Main, plus Thorpe for 'something abit different' means that our new boss (please God not Peter Jackson, whoever was saying that) has something to build on. The lad does more than Dowson, who had a better scoring ratio when at Saltergate on ...

Just home from the game....

Firstly just taking in the breaking news. I thought something looked odd today. CT spent most of the game on the bench, with DW giving most of the orders/tactics etc. He also looked proper daft wearing the bottom half of a suit and the top half of our training gear. we were our usual selves first ha...

Grimsby Quaker: your game-changing half-time knuckle-shuffle - have to ask - were you: a) at the game, calmly creaming one out somewhere in the stadium. Yeah it's supposed to knack you out. On that note, I found out early on that we would always lose if I were to knock one out on a Saturday morning, so had to give up (although we've lost plenty this season while I've been 'clean'). - maybe I'll have to revert to old habits. It worked once when we we...
