Re: worst performance for many a year

About four years ago we got a thrashing at home on a Friday night against Rochdale. A couple of our recent performances against non leaguers in th cup have been awful too. This was not THE worst Ive seen (sadly)-just one of the worst. Difference being that on the night Rochdale were outstanding and...

Re: Forget tonight

To be honest, I would have done pretty much what Raj has done if I'd have been him. He was royally shagged by the administration dragging on for so long. Tood was not his choice but he had to back him. He acted quite decisively in my opinion in getting shot of him and brought in what may or may not ...

Re: Forget tonight

I am still too shocked to agree with you 100% - although until tonight I had been extremely encouraged by the work Staunton had done.

To get out of this would be an outstanding achievement.

Re: and I was slated!

I don't recall your last post - of course you are entitled to your opinion, especially after 40 years and a performance like that.

I do think it's unfair to criticise Raj Singh too much though. He as inherited a right s*** hand and will need years if he is to turn it around.

Tonight.

Truly awful. From the first whistle. I know I've reached a conclusion later than many, but I can't see us finishing above bottom any more. We were completely out - muscled, too slow, didn't compete and hardly ever had the ball. We looked like a team of average young kids playing in a man's league. T...

......And we are poor so far. Haven't won a second ball all night, barnes is having a shocker and we need to improve quickly. Only good news is that we can't get much worse and its still goalless. Need to compete in the middle of the park much better. Hope you are warmer than me if you're reading th...

Re: Supporting DFC

I tell you another thing that annoys me, the fact that some of these people that prefer us to be struggling and like it better now were the ones that were always looking to criticise Penney. Unfookingbelievable. I cannot possibly describe how low my opinion is of these cretins. I don't think anyone...

Re: Youth Team this morning

Well me and my brother managed to get down to watch the 2nd half of their game, anyone know what the score was? We presume it was 0-0?? Darlo lads were 1 Nick Thomson (GK) 2 Jon Hewitson (RB) 3 Phil Gray (LB) 4 Rob Ramshaw (CM) 5 Joe Duffy (CB) 6 Adam Hutchinson (CB) (needs confirming??) 7 Sam Loma...

Re: Supporting DFC

Another day, another defeat. Lovin' it are you? The mind fooking boggles. You really are a div. Of course I'm not. I hate getting beat. As I said above, I feel connected and love my club more this season than last. Therefore it hurts even more. Why you wouldn't grasp that is a bit of a mystery but ...

Re: Supporting DFC

I know that. But to say they are enjoying this season more than last season makes them stupid c***s. I am fooking hating this season. Q - I'm many things, stupid is not one of them. I somehow feel more attached to my club this season than last - probably because the odds are stacked against us. Tha...

Re: Supporting DFC

Echo all the sentiments above. Quite frankly, I am enjoying his season more than any of the last few. Maybe it's the Blitz spirit? I love supporting the lads and feeling part of it - which is how it feels right now.

The lack of expectation each match is invigorating.

Re: Jamie Devitt

Devitt played in right midfield today and played some quality balls in the danger area, the Shrews fans are already wanting him to extend his loan period as he impressed them today. MOTM today again according to this report. Players of his class are the difference at this level unfortunately. http:...

Re: Devitt's last game

The rumour is that Staunton had already decided to not renew the loan before the game as he hadnt seen anything to keep him longer since he had been watching us. This was Devitt's way of showing Staunton you made a mistake. Hope that's true to be honest rather than Hull refusing an exte...

Re: Summary of today for the stay aways/unable to get there.

With the exception of being in the right place at the right time for the goal, I thought Thomas looked very rusty and lethargic for pretty much the whole game. Didnt bother making a run unless he was 100% to get the ball, for a big lump of a boy he seemed very hesitant to get up for headers and cha...

Re: Summary of today for the stay aways/unable to get there.

First 25 mins i thought we were awful, after that we were very very good although i thought either we made Shrewsbury look piss poor or they just were. Hoult - looked dodgy at times ie their goal 6/10 Arnison - couple of cock ups but generally ok 6/10 Foster - looked knackered at the end and so he ...

Re: Devitt's last game

just thinking, trying to think this could be wrong. did they say that it was the last game of his one month loan spell and there could be the opportunity that it could be extending, or did they say that Hull had refused to extend the loan deal and he would not be returning? Good thinking Scott! Des...

Re: My thoughts on Stan Staunton

I've kept quiet all week, whilst watching some people moan on and twist about this appointment. First things first, we wanted shot of Todd, he had to go, that was that. But in all seriousness who did people realistically think we'd get? A proven successful manager? These are the guys still in jobs!...

Re: The state of yesterday's pitch

Truely abysmal. I didn't realise so few fans could create so much rubbish. In fact I'm sure that the pieces of litter outnumbered the fans in the stands. Although have to admit the Greggs carrier bag was more entertaining that what was happening on the pitch and it kept scoring. I'm surprised the r...

like many others I have gotten sick. Me, I will never get sick. When I signed up to this Darlo supporting thing, it wasn't on the condition we were successful. Success is what I hope for, not expect. I don't blame Raj Singh,we all know the blame well and truly lies with Mr George Haughton. I'm going to go on a short diversion -- please imagine that Stuart D...

I'm not happy if its Staunton. 'Name' appointment with a poor record and no experience of even playing at this level. Hope this doesn't go the same way as Barnes at Tranmere. Feel about the same way and I don't think his record with the Irish was too good. Having said that, I'm still struggling to ...

Will never foget his goal in the 94th minute against Welling at home in the Conference, the most mental the Polam lane end had gone in Feethams history ! That was truly one of the greatest moments supporting Darlo. If I remember rightly the original fixture had been fogged off (think we were winnin...

First half very poor. Thorpe starting was a surprise but he didn't win a single challenge so far as I could see. Kane is, unfortunately, the worst full back I have ever seen and got skinned for the goal before Smith sidefooted home. Second half we improved, Main did well I thought as did Devitt agai...
