Re: £70,000

What happens if this total isnt raised by the end of tomorrow, totallisers still say only £20,600 has been raised There won't be any immediate issues, we have that covered. There is no room for complacency though, we do need more fans to get involved and back their football club. We can't make ever...

I'd love you to actually come up with some details on possibilities, rather than just repeating "we aim to be back for 13/14" well yeah, great, but HOW? Can't help but think the 1883 team have had a rather busy week as it is without worrying about next season. Once the very immediate issues are sor...

Re: Groundshare

As Denis has said in the interview the main reason behind the re-consideration was concerns at safety levels at Shildon. Shildon have been fantastic throughout this process and they maintain that all necessary work would have been done in the right time scales but we had to consider the high number ...

Re: No name change = No League = No Football

Three simple questions for DFC 1883 1:- Is the offer of a place in the Northern League on condition that the name of the club be changed? 2:- Does the name chosen have to be approved by the FA? 3:- What happens if DFC 1883 refuses to change the name from Darlington? I ask these questions because if...

Re: Northern League and preperations

seems to me that the FA decided to put us in the Northern league weeks ago. They then had to find/make up the reasons for doing so.. If we do not win our appeal and we have to stay in this league the FA and NL may yet rue the day. 500 plus away fans every week at grounds that are used to hosting 50-...

As far as we know it is just a coaching role but we have asked MG if SG will be playing and he hasnt come back to me yet.

The playing side is now MG call and we will not be interfering.

The clear objective is to be playing football in Darlington in the 2013/14 season whatever league we may be in.

We have a team looking at all the options and they are fully up to speed on what the boundaries are for achieving this. I have every confidence that they will get this right :)

Re: Could 1883 take this mess back to Harvey Madden??

I dont believe there any grounds to challenge HM, in fairness to him he could have binned the club on more than once and gave us time to try and find a solution. The idiosyncratic nature of the FA rules, the purchase, the morality of doing the right thing and the forces working against us are not HM...

on the subject of wages , would it be rude to ask how much the board of 1883 are getting paid ? At some stage I will be paid 10k for the work done on this project since January. I have received a small portion of that but there are more pressing needs just now. As I generally bill out at a minimum ...

The share is the only way we'll keep our name It's uber important, please understand that. Re: We cannot appeal (THE FA)

That's how I read it - a double whammy! The ground is not Evostick standard so we are placed in the NL, oh and because we're a new club (according to the FA) we can't be placed any higher. Basically they have two good reasons to turn down our appeal now. If it ends up as NL it is NL and we will sta...
