The part played by the ground share is 100% brand new to us - it was discussed at length in the Wembley meeting and no concerns were raised at all.
It only seems to have played a small part but it bizarre that it played any part at all!
There is no secret that work was needed, very confused.

Re: We cannot appeal (THE FA)
I am awaiting a confirmation email but it would seem that part of the NL decision was based on the Shildon ground share despite their assurances that this would have no bearing at all on any decision. Combination of confused and furious at the moment. It is all fixable, and will be fixed but really ...

Re: We cannot appeal (THE FA)
The application is in with Durham FA to be affiliated.
These things need to happen in time with other events unfortunately.
There are other bombshells about to land, we have now seen the confirmation from the FA about NL.
Press release to follow.

Re: Another simple question
Any basis for appeal would not be solely based on the RS share issue.
I believe it may help any appeal but there don't seem to be any precedents of this so it is impossible to say for certain.
We are still exploring the options for appeal.

[quote="Quakerz"]Do we have the football share, signed off by Raj Strings, with NO conditions as he stated, now in our possession? Or are we still "trying to find where it is" ? Re: Are we going to appeal?
Newport would have been a better comparison. Or Aldershot etc. Whoever said Wrexham, has made us look like we don't know what we are talking about. Yes they've had financial problems like a lot of clubs, but they are a traditional L1/L2 side playing in the BSP and have never been lower. Of all the ...

Re: Are we going to appeal?
I think we should appeal. You know like Wrexham did. We're too big a city to have a Northern League club. The Wrexham reference was made in respect of a club who had fallen a long way from where they were and the fans had backed them at a level higher than they could have dreamed. We know they didn...

Re: Are we going to appeal?
See above. This needs to be considered and discussed in depth and at the board meeting tomorrow. It is too soon to be certain one way or the other and although the gut instinct is to appeal we have to have solid grounds to base any appeal on. We are looking at all options including previous appeals.

Thanks Craig. I wasn't being off, just wondered. Really appreciate all the work you're putting in. The best way to make it come off is to get everybody pulling the same way, IMO, so if a potentially key group like Supporters Direct goes another way that's very disappointing. Craig, why do Supporters Direct seem to be so dubious about everything that's going on? Surely they're not just getting pissy about not going down the Trust route? Even if it's not an actual trust, it'll be a CIC and basically the kind of buyout they encourage? Would it not be good to get them onsi...

A figure of £270k has been quoted as being the overall annual running costs of Darlington Arena. Is this correct? If so, I'm not saying it is wrong but it does seem on the high side.
