Re: Salford
Spyman, I really wish I had! Unfortunately my limited skills (as shown in my inaccurate search) means I can't use the emoticon option. Perhaps I'll just put joke in brackets afterwards ad infinitum.

Omg I wasn't mocking you! Its more impressive than my sporting highlight. Perhaps we can sort this with an arm wrestle down the pub.

Re: Salford
You must have been my teacher cos I've tried that one. Call it banter or humour. That's exactly what it was and I've not had a row with you til now but you seem to want to argue with everyone and everything. I'm actually besotted with your eloquence and incredible grasp of the English language, dear.

Re: Salford
Oh, I think it's fascinating and perhaps we could have further discussions about Fylde being a coastal team while we're at it. On the one hand you're asking someone to PM you and when I do it to say my post was genuinely meant to be humour that's laughed at. I was typing Darlington in and as I'd bee...

Re: Heaton Signs
My only issue with Brown is the constant throw in taking often leaving him stranded upfield. We were shocking at the back at times last season with very poor defending of balls into the box and I'd cite Marine away as a sad example. Hopefully Bartlett settling in is helping to sort that.

1964/5 season
Some of you will have lived through this-I found a very thin old Darlington programme for Oxford United at home 26th October 1964. There are 37 adverts and it's only 10 pages! There are thanks to the supporters for their efforts away at Bradford City, 3-2 and a request for louder cheers at home with...

Re: Tonight's game
I was looking at the Ebbsfleet story where their stand build has ground to a halt and thinking what about crowdfunding? We took 10 to the trophy final, only 3 of us had seen us before. If we could get the message out to the 11,000 who were there even a fiver each is £55,000 so if only half gave a te...

Re: Salford
They had it sorted at Salford last season and unlike Fylde where some of us tried to calm things it was well controlled so hopefully it will be fine.

Re: Tonight's game
It's interesting that "boost the budget" has enough to fulfill one of the seats funds and as some are saying what's the point if we can't go up? I've struggled with having to put amounts of £100+ into seats when a tenner here and there might be more feasible for many people. 2000 of us putting a ten...

He didn't score very often did he? About one in ten but won three trophies in his first season at Anfield!

It was an attempt at humour, not "a dig" and I totally agree the ground should come first, if not then what's the point?

I know you love an argument gramps but I didn't realise I was arguing with UFQ champion of 2011!!!! A grand title indeed. I once came second in the Coventry and district Cub Scout sports three legged race but that's nowhere near your achievement. I'm impressed.

Re: Tonight's game
I just thought it was a tad gloomy. I'm interested to see what our CEO has to say about his ongoing discussions and I'm feeling positive so maybe I'm just a glass half full bloke. However I do think the ground issue needs sorting first.

Re: Tonight's game
It's a good job it wasn't over here as it lashed down all evening! Can someone clarify the boost the budget as that is 50% complete and presumably would help. Is that to make up to last years or extra? Gramps, stop being so gloomy were a third of the way to the extra seating and maybe if 1000 of us ...

To be fair Caton was signed by Blackpool when they were in the championship so there must have been promise. He's a winger not a striker...

Re: Seating Phase 2 of 3
I can only speak from afar but I keep reflecting on those red seats. They look substantial, would they move so they could be used, even as an uncovered away seat section? Just seem wasted there. Go on people, shatter my illusions!

Re: Martin Gray
It would be great if we could see the ground covered in dozens of signs for businesses, wouldn't it? at £600-700 a go we would have a extra £18,000 plus with just 30 of them. Half a pitch for the new stand!
