Re: Spennymoor Away
I imagine the Kettering fans just left any hoards they may have at home or in storage somewhere, so the barriers were probably OK.

Re: Darlington V Gloucester
To be fair, I think the linesman had got it wrong and the ref was right to overrule him. It reminded me of the Adam Lallana 'handball' against Wolves the other day.

Re: York
I just wish our goal had been scored at our end!!! I was stuffing my hands into my pockets in the York end today (which worked out pretty well as it turned out :D) and was lucky enough to be more or less bang in line with the path of Campbell's strike. To be honest, I thought it was going over to s...

Re: York
Two bits of good news for the match. Looks like Maguire is ruled out but Tait has a chance of playing :D I don't know how he's been getting on in their other games this season, but I can't remember Tait putting a foot wrong in September at our place. Also, he's got that whole shorts-tugging tic thi...

I need to double check, but I'm pretty sure you've plagiarised this anecdote from Alan Partridge.Darlo_Pete wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 10:39 pmHe's always up for a laugh, I sometimes stand by the players tunnel & I'll always shout 'well played physio' as he walks past. All hail Alan Armstrong. Absolutely. His work on the total synthesis of the milbemycin and avermectin natural products was groundbreaking. It was groundbreaking, yeah, but I've always found the work he did on the design and synthesis of novel podand ionophores for enantioselective cation binding to...

I've had to recently take on a mortgage, so I am planning to work until at least I am 75. Fortunately my employer has people still working for them who are in the 80's, so as long as I keep my health, I have many years work ahead of me. But thanks for your concern!!! That is one surreal workplace y...

Tim Flowers obviously had a pretty illustrious playing career, but I think I'll always mainly associate him with number 2: https://youtu.be/VIAUTOFUNn8
Hopefully we'll have a similar slice of luck tomorrow.

Good riddance to Chapman, she was just so weak, she has paid the price for not respecting the Brexit vote of her constituents & sucking up to Corbyn I'm so over Brexit at the moment, so that wasn't an issue for me. Peter Gibson's starting with a clean slate as far as I'm concerned, but I do think J...

I’ll still be depressed about the number of people who voted for Corbyn. Agreed. It was always going to be a little bit depressing whatever the result - I can't remember there ever being a pair of candidates in my lifetime less fit to lead the country than Boris and Jezza. P.S. I realise I'm probab...

Well, if Styche is beyond our means, then I guess the below equation is the only conceivable solution: (We need a target man who knows where the back of the net is + West Auckland owe us some kind of goodwill gesture after those infamous price hike shenanigans) x Arena dog-walking nostalgia = Paul C...

It's such a shame that Ainge is no longer the striker we hoped we were getting - that pre-injury version would've been ideal right now.

Take a bow, Michael Smith
Hopefully Moors will be done with the cups now for the season after that and want to get out of the Trophy as soon as possible.

I can't really comment on any potential offside for the second goal, but it should've been moot anyway as I was right opposite the free kick and the ball was clearly rolling when it was taken. Everyone in the vicinity could see it apart from two people apparently  I think the footage will sur...

I don't get it.

Ted Forster has been making the same point over and over again on the Tin Shed. Could it be that EdJohns is his latest alias? You might very well think that, I couldn’t possibly comment.... If you look over on the Rugby League thread, Pete gives the game away. Ted would know all about funding footb...

One of the guys near me was trying to feed Marco a couple of lines about BTB as we were fortunate enough to be stood right by where he and Danny Cowley were doing their pieces to camera. I don't know whether that was covered or not as it was hard to pick up much of what they were saying, but you cou...

Even if you don't have Amar in your XI, surely you've got to have his brother in as part of a back three? That guy's plenty good enough as third-choice centre back.

The club could've raised prices, but any potential extra profit would surely have been at least partially offset by the cost of the massive cup of cold sick they would've had to shell out for at the same time.

'Spaghetti Legs' was sat on the bench on Saturday, I noticed.
I think he's more of a wide forward/winger than a number 9 or 10, but I may be wrong.
