Re: Southport

Interesting that Watson has dropped Lindley and Ngundu and they weren't even on the Bench last night. They are by no means world beaters, but in a very poor season, with very poor signings, I've seen glimpses from both to suggest they should at least be on the bench. and I've seen nothing from Asant...

Re: Southport

One change - Lawlor replaces Siddik who is injured.

Scott Barrow plays again.

Windass on the bench - I'd completely forgotten about him.

Re: Kings Lynn v Darlington 6/01/24

Not a lot of creativity in that line up. But then you could say that about every match so far this season.

Re: Boost The Budget January 2024

There is a good chance we will hit a third of the total by the end of day 1.

Darlo fans never cease to amaze me.

Looks like we've got a new signing to be announced. Will it be someone from Marske?
Scrap that, it's Scott Barrow from York, on loan

Micky Cummins was Watson's assistant at Gateshead and York. No idea if he will join him at Darlo.

Re: Who next?

I recall last seasons home game against Blyth. A lot of us expected a big win, but they were well organised and dogged and it took a very late Liddle volley to beat them.

Club have made a statement MG won’t be coming back, the search goes on.
Well that’s our best chance of survival thrown away. I will be at the game today and giving the team my total support, but I will have to reflect on my long term future financial support of the club.
Good grief

I'm sure it goes without saying, but we do need to get behind the team on Saturday. Scarborough are beatable, and let's hope we can put in a suitable performance to beat them.

For me there is only one person for the job to get us out of this mess and that is Martin Gray. He is available and is Darlington’s most successful manager ever and what he did to restart the club should never ever be forgotten. Sorry, Martin G would not get us out of this mess although DFC will fo...

Re: Who next?

I’d like to see some communication from the club regarding their intentions/ plans for the next match. The only comment on the website is the brief sentence on Boxing Day, after announcing Gowlings departure: “We will make an announcement about the ongoing position in due course.” It doesn’t have to...

Gray can only be effective managing a big fish in a little pond, and when he can out spend his rivals. I remember his bucket rattling comments after he pissed off to York. He’s not the answer.

Re: New signing Cardo Siddik

When Gowling arrived he signed a number of players and put them straight in the team (to little effect). Strange that Siddik (and Vasiliou) have been training within us for weeks before being signed, but don't even make the bench. We have a fairly big squad now, so I'm not sure why we are now signin...

I see we've signed a young lad on an emergency loan as 2 players are out with a virus. The article doesn't say who is missing, though. Answers on a postcard.

1 nil Griffiths. The keeper will be kicking himself. Griffiths did well to keep the ball down but looked like he sliced it a bit. Keeper got his hand to it but took all the pace off it and it just dropped in.
