Re: Fans of other clubs get in cheaper
I applaud the club's effort to come up with an idea that can generate extra revenue and get more football followers in the region interested in watching the Quakers .As for the price , there has to be an incentive and at £6 I think of it as people paying at the concession rate and so for the old and...

Re: Back to Darlo Funding
Thanks for the comments . Sadly I can not make it to the fans forum but I would like to think that this issue will be given a good hearing , in fact one of my reasons for raising it now was to bring the question to the fore in time to let people voice any thoughts they have on the subject and draw o...

Back to Darlo Funding
From various comments I get the feeling that all is well and we are on track to play at Blackwell Meadows during the forthcoming season , but I feel very ill informed about the current state of the drive to finance the move . We were told that £20,000 was needed to cover the initial costs such as dr...

Re: World Cup
Sorry but I just can't rate England's chances though I hope to be wrong . For best laugh of the tournament (so far) I am giving my vote to the front page cartoon on the magazine Private Eye . The plane has landed on the tarmac and the England squad are disembarking............ the pilot is saying " ...

Thanks for the pics Scott . Your shot down the length of the site towards the Polam Lane end shows the stone/rubble that I was referring to . It has raised the ground quite a lot in places .

FEETHAMS
Don't worry I am not going to raise that old chestnut about going back to Feethams , that's been a dead issue for years . The fact is I haven't been down by Polam Lane and Victoria Embankment for sometime and was surprised recently to go that way and see the old site . It is wide open anyone can acc...

Re: The Clubs Image
So have I got this right ? Four out of a crowd of two thousand went onto the pitch and expressed their anger by trying to make trouble . Obviously wrong but they were quickly restrained . The club had provided some police support which protected the referee and fans restrained the others . I am just...

Thomson also had shot on target tipped over the bar . Three shots off target Ward = 2 , Davis =1 , all skied over .

Re: Playoffs: who do we want to play?
I can see the argument you are making Quakerz but I would prefer to get promoted this year and leave to next season any debate about problems of going up to C. North . Let's get into the Evostick Premier first .

Re: Funding Countdown - £63,190
The final day has ended now so unless there is to be some form of updating the figures or late contributions we have the actual totals with the equity fund clocking up a staggering achievement @ 90% of target , something I would not have believed possible . Reward 136 pledgers , 42.2% of target @ £2...

Re: £50k achieved still plenty of shares and rewards availab
Still time for a last chance effort (but only just !). I think we are looking at a fantastic result , I admit that not too long ago I was like a lot of people thinking we might not make the £50k threshold and here we are above £60k . Reward @ £19350 with 123 pledgers . Equity @ £41790 with 31 pledge...

Re: £50k achieved still plenty of shares and rewards availab
Slowed up a lot now but very good never the less. Will there be a late flourish ? Now standing at a total of £17050 + £39678 = £56728 .

Re: Fulham sack Mulensteen
This story get's even more surprising , the latest twist is that Mulensteen has not been sacked . He is still there and they have yet to sort out his new role . The Darlington interest is largely irrelevant to the people closest to whatever is going on so all we can do is wait and see .

Re: £50k achieved still plenty of shares and rewards availab
I said "breath easy" in the context of the £50k threshold . That said I agree with you , after all we are Darlington supporters and all know this club is not for the faint hearted ! I am reminded that a few years ago someone did a study of clubs in the Football League assessed by counting the most s...

Re: £50k achieved still plenty of shares and rewards availab
Even allowing for the £500 glitch that is being sorted out and not counting the unknown total coming in through cheques and further pledges we can now breath easy .
£15400 + £35099 = £50499 .
£15400 + £35099 = £50499 .

Don't know how much is Trust member's "twice as much as intended" , but the current Squareknot figures are 15100 + 35099 = £50199 .

Re: 08/02/2014 - Score Updates
Agree with Q . Until recently I assumed 1. We would catch Warrington 2. Curzon would not slip up often enough . I thought we would get promotion through the play offs with the benefit of home games through second place . Now I still think we are the best side in the league but I am not sure about th...

Re: 11k needed in 11 days (Now 5k in 10 Days)
Now £4851 needed . This is great so far but let's not forget that this is just the basic £50,000 . The actual target is not yet in sight but that doesn't worry me at the present time . Unless someone can convince me otherwise as I see it £50k will save the day and clears the way to concentrate on ba...

Re: Famous Darlo Supporter
How short is fame ? Ian Hamilton moved to Darlington as a child from Scotland early enough to have no Scottish accent .
