Re: I wish we still had Walshaw
does a 30 goal a season striker miss several chances from about 6 yards out?.. he was s*** hot in pre-season against teams like whitby, so we can't really blame the system we were playing... he just wasn't/isn't cut out for conference level. But Whitby aren't Conference level so your point is flawe...

Yep I heard the same thing. Saying some players had agreed to cuts of up to 25%.Fatty eats roadkill wrote:Was just waking up at half seven. I'm sure I heard Colin Briggs say 9 players had agreed to pay cuts. Can anyone confirm this as it wasn't on the 8am bulletin.

If England had the guts to stand up for what is right - bit like we used to do - then the whole world of football would change. If English Clubs withdrew from European competitions, I agree that TV rights payments would plummet, but that would hit other European teams far harder that it would hit E...

Re: Back from Ebbsfleet
EC clearly isn't a true supporter. A true supporter actually tries to unify fans, not divide them with this "you didn't go so you're not a true supporter" nonsense. In fact, EC is coming across like a paranoid nutter with an obsession for classifying himself above others, as if there's some sort of ...

Having watched football for many years, I do think that England can hold it's head up in it's approach to racism in the game. Let's face it, when I first starting watching, there were no black footballers. I grew up in the era when I marched against racists like Enoch Powell - for years black footb...

" on paper" 4 of our next 5 games are winnable ? On paper, games against Alfreton, Hayes and Yeading, Southport and Bath were also winnable and look what happened there. That said, Liddle does seem to be creating a team spirit which was evidently lacking under Cooper. Given the state of the club of...

Liddle seemingly likes 4-3-3, so I'd guess we'll line up something like:
Russell
Arnison, Lee, Jhona, Brown
McReady, Chandler, MBW
Gray, Hatch, Rundle
I don't think anyone of those lot are out injured.

I did AQA Government and Politics 2 years ago at QE and it was great fun. Really interesting and I'd definitely recommend it. I'm a student and I live a good distance away. Coming to a home game would take up about three quarters of my weekly budget, so obviously I have to choose the matches I'm going to and save up. When I'm back in Darlington then I go when I can. What really annoys me is the "you don't go to games so yo...

Clever prick. For what its worth I know someone who works for NUFC and he says they rate him highly. I'd sooner take the view from a professional opinion than off some messageboard rant. Jenny Chapman isn't interested in Darlo FC, unless she thought there was some votes in it for her. To be fair to her, she is taking more of an interest than previous MP's. And she is actively speaking to the Trust about the current situation, and she does attend games. I was unsure over her at firs...

Right, given the feedback from those who have replied, I will look into trying to arrange something. HOWEVER I need more expressions of interest than the few we've had so far.
