Better to not take promotion from the Northern League..
IT WAS bound to come to an end some day. The North-East has had quite a stranglehold on the FA Vase. Our trips to Wembley have, since 2008, been an annual affair. And it has been suggested that, perhaps scurrilously, clubs have eschewed promotion from the Northern League in order to be able to compe...

2 promotions in 3 seasons was the objective and it is still on. I'm very proud of our achievements this season overall

I went earlier in the season and was very impressed. Fair play to them for making a go of it and I really hope they do well for many years to come

Very well done Mowden. Great news for the town and great to see a club making a success of the arena

Re: Martin Gray - No Tactics
In terms of playing a passing game - although I do was frustrated with the number of long balls, the pitch in the middle is not one to be rolling a ball. You saw plenty of times in the 2nd when they did try a few passing moves, the ball bouncing up to shin height and losing the ball. Having said th...

Re: Martin Gray - No Tactics
Gray has been found out all to often in the big games this season. Still can't understand the hoof ball football on display last night. Why did Thompson kick out at that lad for the first yellow? I'm pretty certain he didn't dive for the second yellow but he should never have been on a yellow in the...

Re: Club will be working on ST Prices for 14/15 - Thoughts
My Father in law was talking to somebody connected with the club on Saturday night and it was mentioned that they were thinking of doing 4 seasons tickets for £1000 but that price included hospitality. If that turns out to be right and we are in Darlo I think there could be a huge update for that of...

Re: Name Change
I like the whole 1883 thing knowing that we now own our club and it was our new beginning. Don't understand really why anyone is bothered about it. In all honesty I haven't spoken to anyone who refers to Darlo 1883 anyway so I wouldn't think the club would have time to request a name change.

I personally think Spenny offering free travel at a title contest explain such a big crowd for this one of match. Also offering cheap entry of £2 on occasions is surely enough to get a few people interested.

Re: Late Kick Off Tonight
Yes, it was a good little report with some interesting input from the panellists. The continuing usage of "1883" annoys me though. Just call us Darlington. Considering our name is actually Darlington 1883 and the BBC must try there best to be factual I see no problem. I often use 1883 alone when re...

2014/15 Home Shirt Vote
Just reviewing the official article regarding the kit vote and no definitive date for when we find out which kit has been chosen. Just wondering if we will be able to pre offer the kits like last season?

Season Ticket Prices 2014/15
Just reading about Middlesbough freezing there season ticket prices for a seventh season if purchased early. Does anyone have an idea when our prices may be announced?
I'd imagine a small increase like last season.

I'm sure the plan announced at a fans forum was for 3 promotions over 5 years ideally. Promotion this year and a year to stabalise next year would be my ideal circumstances.

Re: Important news coming from Darlington Rugby Club
If this move comes off I think it could also help the rugby club because I think there maybe some footy fans who might start going to a few of their games. As a result their profile while be bigger. A member of the rugby club who I work with said if our club does move to Blackwell Meadows then they...

I am sure the medics know what they are doing but it does feel risky. Really don't want to see it go again in when he plays for 20 minutes. We will need the steamroller to be in full swing to get him on for that time period anyway. Stop being a fanny. If you follow him on twitter its clear to see h...

I think...I think it is because £50k is the target from the published squareknot pitches. Love it with a standard worthwhile contribution. Sorry but stating facts that when we reach 50k the club doesn't stop the requirements for further money may not get your knickers wet but its true. A pound by p...

Why does everyone reference xxx until target met. The 50k is minimum and we will 100% need alot more in the short term to move home
