Pete may not live next to HP, but the rain is moving from Bishop in Darlingtons direction, Not a chance the pitch will drain in time with the amount of water thats come/coming down, hope im wrong however

Re: Darlington v Ashton United Match Thread
Not sure how that referee allowed it to go on so long with those kits, I can only imagine that neither side had their away kits at hand. It reminded me of our game against Hull at Feethams, Hull bringing their grey away kit, 5 minutes into the game we changed into our red away kit

Pretty sure those covers can protect the pitch down to -4 so it should do the job

Phil Turnbull MOTM for me tonight, was everywhere tonight, protected the back 4 brilliantly, looked to break quickly and just generally oozed class, head and shoulders above any midfielder in this league

I can only echo the comments on here, Dave has been brilliant for the football club and will be a huge loss, the right decision though, health should always come first

Lad on twitter reckons theres still alot of standing water on the pitch as of 3pm today, one would hope the groundstaff are planning on working on the pitch to try make it playable

Re: Darlington FC V Whitby Town
What I've been told is that if the game was scheduled for tonight the pitch would be playable so fingers crossed that the weather is kind to us in the next 24 hours. If thats the case then it should be looking promising with the forecast for Bishop Auckland tonight and tomorrow, very hopeful of a g...

It's looking more promising that we'll get a game tomorrow, it's not forecast to drop below freezing until after tomorrow's game, hopefully the pitch has been thawing out nicely and continues to do so today

I really couldnt call our strongest front 2, were very strong in that department with Cartman, Gaskell and Army, brilliant to get a league game and get the 3 points, hopefully the weather is kind and we get a home game on boxing day

Re: Today's Echo
You certainly cant blame the rugby club for wanting to see how it played out, especially with £20 million being the figure and im sure that if these people could of proved to the council that all the funds were in place that were required then they would of seriously considered it, we've seen oursel...

Re: Today's Echo
Around the £500k mark spent on BM with the football club funding most of it or £20 million spent on BM with this venture in the echo, theres no wonder why the move has stalled. £100,000 quoted as being put into planning on the £20m sports hub so it was always going to be a case of having to stall th...

Its a shame but doesnt come as a shock after Watsons recent comments about pondering leaving to find more game time. Its unfortunate for the Ian that we have another very good left back in Terry Galbraith, Personally id play Terry, Watson at most clubs would find himself the undoubted first choice

Re: B&B
It makes sense to trim afew off the wage bill, out wide is a position we were well stocked up in, Thommo is a guarenteed starter when fit especially the way he's started this season, we've then 1 position out wide to fill and had a pool of Mitchell, Youhill, Bell, Brobbel aswell as Watson and Galbra...

Another 2 to add to the list of players to come from a football league/premier league back ground and fail to make the grade at this level, Only Adam Mitchell off the top of my head has settled in really well. We were alittle heavy on wingers so its no surprise we've offloaded afew especially with Y...
