1999/2000 signed and framed picture
I have a signed and framed photo of the team from 1999/2000 season which took us to Wembley at the end of that season v Peterborough. I want to pass it on to raise a few pound for one of the fundraisers we have going at the moment but I am not sure which way will raise the most money for it. my init...

Re: A Big Lump
the news you're waiting on tonight is a new signing and a current player signing a new deal.
personally, i don't think one of them is to get too excited about but each to their own opinion I guess.

food bank information reqd
does anyone have the contact details of the food bank that collect at our home games?
I think I can get them a steady supply of an item they can distribute if someone can get me their contact details.
thanx.

Re: The investment
hey, its fooking Gray who said he would walk if he didn't get what he wanted etc. how much do you think he has the club at heart then? through thick n thin does not come to mind. yes, he has done a great job but has had a fairly big club for non-leauge and a decent fan base with a big non-leauge bud...

Re: The investment
let Gray go if he does not get what he wants.
yeah, he might get another club but who is to say it's going to work? let's be fair the leagues he has got us out of a lot of managers would have done with our name and budget.
how will his academy do without the club having its name linked with it?

can we afford to go up?
1st, where will the funds come from? did Martin Gray mention a million £ or was that to go full time? would/could we go full time/part time? 2nd, our ground is certainly not ready so would need a lot of extra cash throwing at it so, therefore, add that to extra cash required. 3rd is the pitch going ...

Re: Pete Jameson
quakersam your correct, unfortunately for Jameson his positioning, distribution and dealing with crosses was pretty standard to be polite but those are three major and key parts of being a keeper.
Best of luck to the lad in the future.

bicycles on match days.
is there anywhere down Blackwell to lock any up and leave them for the duration of the match?
my thinking is if you're not driving or getting a lift etc it could make it more of an easier proposition to get to and from the match and certainly for younger supporters.

Re: Darlo v Halifax Match Thread
darlogramps, you say on the field success is not important this season.where is your logic in that? surely we need to be successful enough to be in or around the play-off area to keep the crowds coming in which means cash into the club. whilst we are on about jameson i do believe i started a post be...

Re: Which Pre-Match Pub?
if you mean real ales as alternatives then that is not the place for some people its just a run of the mill traditional wmc serving lager and beers from the pumps.
This place will not suit everyone but it's close enough to walk to the match and have a few pints beforehand.

Re: Which Pre-Match Pub?
Arden street (central wmc) I remember them giving me some money for the back to Darlo fund that they raised from a bucket collection on the bar to take to bishop and add it to the collection.
also, the drink is decent by any standard set in this town and only £2.55 a pint of lager.fosters/carling.

central wmc [arden street] bang on pint and only £2.50 a pint lager so beer cheaper at a guess.darlo fans regularly used it in our feethams days and probably as close to b/m you are going to get.they have big screen.pool table, snooker etc always welcome too.

Re: Pre Blackwell Meadows beers
al_quaker. you could be the rugby clubs decision on how many we let in the bar it could get increased depending on how things go initially. not sure an extended bar will be anywhere in the top 50 priorities.might only be a couple of seasons before we are back down to a hardcore 1,500 if things slow ...
