Re: Incoming! Kieran Burton

That's a bummer, really thought he added something to the team and did a good job for us, and would have like him to stay.

Re: The truth

I am at a loss as to why the board should put out a statement, it was the footballers and managent that did the "dirty deed". What would the board say? Good grief let's be sensible, the board made the management decision yes, we are not sure yet if it was the right one,(although not looking good at ...

Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!

I agree, result immaterial, but I suppose we are in between a rock and a hard place, if the players run themselves into the ground we know Tuesday our team are tired and Tuesday is the important game. If they don't put the effort they will be slaughtered again. I am just hoping we have an organised ...

Re: Gowling MUST go!

Not for me either lo, think I would have a different view, think you learn more about the team if they can dig in and not capitulate, if they defended and still lost 8-0, then you would learn a lot. Still attacking and losing 8-0 gives you an excuse, just imo of course.

Re: Chorley

I did not think we would get anything from the game last night, but 8-0 was not in my thinking. Having watched the goals, (made one of my better late decisions not to go to the game but listen on the radio), that was school boy stuff. Players watching the ball not runners, not organised and half hea...

Re: Chorley

The amount of times I have heard it is hard to play against 10 men, (other teams seem to score against us with 10 men), we just don't have any leaders or organisers in the team. Did not understand why Platt wasn't brought on when we went down to 10 men, seemed the sensible course to me against a tea...

Re: Darlo v Chester

Hazel was never the same since coming back from international duty. I said exactly that to my mate after the first few games he played, I didn't know if it was down to him not having a proper pre season rest or he had started to feel our level of football was below him. Neither idea seemed right gi...

Re: Darlo v Chester

Several players played really well today but a bit of a shout out for Nelson, won headers, out jumped there players taking the ball on his chest a number of times while in the air, closed defenders down well, considering the few mins he has.played thought he was excellent. Rivers was another one wit...

Re: Tommy Taylor

I wonder what Tommy's state of mind will be if Darlo were in to loan whiteley from York, can't be easy for him to come into a game knowing the manager has no faith in him. I hope he does play and has a blinder to build his confidence up.

Re: Ryan Whitley

Rumour central on the York fans Web site, was originally expected on loan to Darlo, Scarborough offered to take him permanently, and now he has been release by mutual consent so assume he has a permanent position lined up. If Tommy does not feel like playing for the manager again, (although I don't ...

Re: Ryan Whitley

Just as I post that a mate in York tells me he has left York and is heading to Darlo, he got it from a mate of a mate :D . Still it does sound with Taylor being side lined, and Ryan wanting game time a likely possibility, may be haggling over money as he will be on a lot at York.

There is certainly nothing on our or Yorkshire Web site about it, there fans forum just mentions that he needs to go out on loan to a NLN club to get game time.

Re: Ryan Whitley

Nothing on the clubs Web site about Ryan joining the club yet, could understand if he has joined as York recently signed BPA's highly regarded keeper for £5k as first choice so he would be third or fourth choice there and being young he will want to play.

Re: Ryan Whitley

He is a good keeper, is he much better than Tommy I am not sure as think he is in the same mould as TT with not totally comanding his area, but a good shot stopper, and we will be paying for him. Clearly manager at York does not rate him as they have signed additional keepers, even though he was doi...

Re: Current Squad Size

I hope people are not pulling there boost the budget, this will put the club in a very difficult position, and not what fans would want surely. Will keep my monthly one going even if we are heading down. When things get tough that is the time to stick together surely, (certainly IMO).

Re: Spennymoor

The thing that worries me on re watching the game on the replay is how our back 5 were so compact, (after several weeks of training on the managers favoured formation). On the first goal Hatfield was covering at full back because the back 5 were no where to be seen, plus the room Spennymoor got on t...

I am very sorry to say, yes I would, ( hopefully not come all the way home as most teams would be playing therefore there training facilities may be free?) I see an opportunity for the team that can't train again before the next game and had a free day, may be I am strange but that is at least 2 peo...

Re: Match off

The game was called off at 8am, team had an overnight on the Friday, three and a half hour journey back should have left them a few hours, ( they won't be training Tuesday), also it would not be beyond the wit of man to find a local training area surely. The players will not have been expected back ...

Re: Match off

I am hoping JG, used the day to get a full day's training on tactics, set pieces and shooting and heading on target. Given he only has two hours, twice a week, and Tuesdays traing off this week it would be a big mistake not to have utilise a full day of training. Still team should be fresh for game ...

Re: Questions from the Board Update

Sorry but I don't give a hoot about knowing JG length of contract. Re: Kings Lyn

Starting to think that we have a York Micky Morton as our manager. Talks the talk and has the stats at his "finger tips" but can't organise or motivate. We are paying a stats man, but it has been obvious that Salkeld over the last few games is not a wing back, he is not a defensive player. Plus play...

Re: Tamworth V Darlington

I like the way this new manager talks, but seriously hope he isn't another Micky Morton who was at York, Morton did the talk, focused on the stats, but kept changing the team and could not get players playing in there best position or formations, or motivate the players. Just hoping he is able to or...
