Re: Time for us fans to play our part......
If a manager wanted to keep his job, he'd be on the sidelines encouraging the players and that just didn't happen on Saturday. Plus when asked about the other job offers, he said that he remained the Darlo manager for now or something similar. Now to me that isn't the actions of a manager that still...

Re: Time for us fans to play our part......
Given our budget compared with other Conference sides, I expected us to be in the top half of the table. We were until Saturday. We can afford to drift along in mid-table mediocrity. But the top 12 is okay?!?!! No mid-table is far from ok. We should be at the very least be on the verge of the play-...

Re: Time for us fans to play our part......
Given our budget compared with other Conference sides, I expected us to be in the top half of the table. Something is drastically wrong at the club and if you thought last season was bad, then the omens for this season could be even worse. We can't afford to drift along in mid-table mediocrity, thin...

Re: Team meeting this morning
I reckon Cooper is just waiting to get sacked and pick up his compo. He appears to have lost the dressing room and the players are not going to bust a gut, which will keep in the job longer.

Re: FA Cup draw
Andy Park would be happy with Lincoln Moorlands Railway. Hopefully I'll be able to go to either game. On paper we've got a good draw, but that means nothing especially when we're talking about Darlo. Don't we play Mossley at home in the FA Youth Cup later this month?

He'll be hanging on for a pay out, one more loss at Mansfield should do it.

Re: Martin Gray
If and when Cooper goes, then we do need to appoint somebody who knows how important this club is to us the fans. Somebody like Liddle, Gray, Aspin or Smudger. I wasn't sure about Gray in the past, but lets face it at least there would be some passion from the sidelines and some connection with the ...

Team meeting this morning
All the players have been told to report for a team meeting this morning. It would be nice to think that Cooper would be saying his good byes, but I suspect they're will be a post mortem into how the team has been performaing so badly over recent games. The problem for me though, is that with perhap...

Re: Attendance 1536
Unless we pick someone like FC United of Manchester who'll bring a decent away following, then if as expected we draw a blank at Mansfield this coming Saturday, the crowd will be below 1000. I already know season ticket holders who are already now picking and choosing which games they will attend. :...

Re: Ray Simpson boils my piss
Ray also left the mic on against Bath... Can't prove he did it deliberately of course. Its still very unprofessional of him. At the end of the day he's supposed to provide a professional radio commentary and yesterday's events showed that we're not getting that at the moment. Lets hope yesterday wa...

Re: Terry out for the season
Terrible news as Terry was one of the very few players that has performed above what was expected of him. Its just typical we get a decent midfield player and then he's out for the season. We really are cursed.

Re: Ray Simpson boils my piss
Bad judgement call yesterday by Ray Simpson and not very professional. Its ok for people to post on here wild rumours, people accept them as such. What I don't expect is Ray Simpson to repeat such an important rumour that he has heard on the radio, without at least first checking its validity. I hop...

Re: Attendance 1536
The crowd was better than I was expecting. I dread to think what the crowd will be if we don't have a league win before our next home league game next month. In some ways it probably is better for the team having less there, when they're playing badly as they are at the moment.

Re: Youth Team breeze past York in FA Youth Cup
Yes I accept that now. But Curtis Main and Michael Smith when they first came too prominance, were still elligible for the youth setup. I'd certainly be against rushing through a promising youngster straight into the first team squad, unless they were an exceptional talent.

Re: Youth Team breeze past York in FA Youth Cup
I agree Flip but thats not likely to happen at the moment is it? Michael Smith & Curtis Main would probably have benefited from remaining in the youth setup for a while longer, rather than being elevated into the first team squad at such an earlier age.

Yep a cracking result for the youth team. The dangers of bringing a player from the youth setup too early, can be seen with what has happened to Michael Smith and Curtis Main.

Re: season over?
I think clearly we do not have a chance of winning the league. When we were only 5pts off the top I said that if we improved I couldn't see any reason to exclude us from the title challenge. However, clearly we dont have the squad/determination or whatever that we need to even come close. I would t...

Re: season over?
Because our playing budget will be significantly higher than Rushden's and I suspect that they may not be full-time. I don't mean any disrespect to Rushden as they've done very well tonight and from what I've heard they deserved to beat us. Don't bet on it, Tim Sills and Rene Howe are two pretty bi...

Re: The first sub 1500 crowd this coming Saturday
Hayes and Yeading only had 362 for last night's game at home to Cambridge and no doubt 100 or so of them will have been from Cambridge. So Darlo Fonz's prediction of 4 away fans may have been wildly optomistic.

Re: Questionable managerial appointments
I agree with you on the first 2 and Kidd. But Davey was at the time a good appointment, as he did make quite a quick impact on the clubs fortunes. Singh wasn't to know that Davey was going to shaft the club like he did. Again with Cooper on paper he has an excellent record at this level and as I sai...

Re: Cooper out
I think time is running out for Cooper, we can't carry on like we are for much longer. Fans are already voting with their feet. The club can't afford a season of consolidation, we need to be moving forward and at the moment we only seem to be moving backwards.
