Re: Rugby League
I never felt tired & was fully awake for the whole journey.. I'm sure the guy who caused the Selby train crash thought he wasn't tired and was fully awake. Your reactions and decision making are impaired when you haven't slept regardless of whether you feel tired or not. Professional drivers are su...

Re: Rugby League
I drove down to the South of France & back 950 miles each way & both legs driven in 24hrs, going down I had 10mins sleep & on the way back 1hrs sleep. I kept awake on both legs & felt fine when the journeys had finished. This is nothing to brag about - in fact it is downright dangerous. Anyone who ...

16 & 17 year olds can vote in the Scottish and Welsh parliamentary elections but not in the UK General Election. Therefore not a totally English decision.

And why do you think Ian Blackford is a disgrace? He's doing exactly what his electorate mandated. He is the leader of the SNP in Westminster. Ian Blackford won his seat on the SNP manifesto for an independent Scotland (i.e. not governed from London) Scotland voted overwhelmingly to remain in the EU...

But the point is Lots of people - not only you - quote Switzerland as an example of a successful country outside the EU. They are, but they have agreements with the EU. I'm surprised that you weren't stopped, especially as vans are almost always stopped. When we moved here from Munich with a Munich registered car, we seemed to be stopped 50% of the time. When we re-registered the car locally we were stopped less than 1% of the time - in fact I can't remember the la...

I used to live in Thayngen and used to see the queues regularly almost every weekend. There is a goods vehicle lane on the motorway for the last few km to the border post that is sometimes full of waiting lorries. Even the country lanes usually have a customs house and spot checks. If you think Switzerland has no hard borders with the EU, please take a goods vehicle from Stuttgart to Zurich (or vice versa) via the Thayngen border crossing and then tell me there are no hard borders berween Switzerland and the EU.

Re: Help before I become as bad as him !!!!!
I have said several times I am only commenting on your hypocrisy, nothing else. You have tried to move the discussion on - what I find acceptable, accusing me of a vendetta for example but I'm not interested. You changed your statement, which lessened it, and changed the chronology of the percieved ...

Yes, sorry about that. It does get a bit boring when posters continually repeat the same points doesn't it...Still now you've admitted being a hypocrite I won't have to mention it again. Just a couple of corrections though, again for the avoidance of doubt. You didn't say Ed John's rant sounded like...

But you can't take it either can you? You were called out for hypocrisy on the Gateshead thread but instead of defending yourself you accused me (incorrectly) of hypocrisy and claimed (twice) that I have a vendetta against you. For the avoidance of doubt I find someone complaining about comments abo...

I think if the deadwood had been in the south she would have made the cuts there. If you were around at the time it was obvious that things had to change, we were becoming a banana republic. Agree it or not, UK got its pride back and we had a real leader in charge. Which deadwood would that be? The...

I've seen Switzerland mentioned in several forums as an example of a successful European nation not in the EU. But Switzerland has an agreement with the EU. They are a member of the EFTA (European Free Trade Area) - as are Norway - which has an agreement with the EU. They are in the Single Market an...

Don't know how easy it is to get tickets for Bayern. All games seem to sell out and although they might keep some for football tourists I suspect these might go to specialist companies. We quite often get parties at Haching because they couldn't get tickets for Bayern. Could be worse though 3rd divi...

As I said though it's not always easy to change when you've ran yourself into the ground for 80 minutes. However I agree with you - I never understand why teams pull everyone back and leave no-one up front except in the last minute. It just means that any clearance comes straight back. Talking about...

Germany look in dire straights, as they're reduced to 10 men and only drawing 1-1 with Sweden. This comment just goes to show yet again you know absolutely fuck all about football. Sweden were chasing the ball for 75 minutes. For long spells of the second half they had no out ball and every clearan...

My problem with VAR is its application. It was used in the Bundesliga last season and there were a lot of controversies, not least the penalty that was awarded after half time when the teams were already in the dressing room. I would prefer the referee to decide whether to use it, like it appears to...

It does seem a bit incongruous that 4G pitches aren't allowed in the football league but are allowed in International football. The Wankdorf stadium, where Young Boys play, has an artificial pitch and was used in EURO 2008. Young Boys won the league this season so it will be used in the Champions Le...

I wanted to hear him. Didn't care whether he gave us money. I wanted him to stand up and tell the 'full' story that he keeps saying we don't know. Face the fans and explain why he did what he did.
Then leave and never darken the doors of our club again.
