Re: Netcafe with Wright on Thursday

The fanbase would soon turn if we play keep repeating our Brackley performance. I see your point, however some of the performances with Gray at the helm were worse than last Saturday. His record this season (Gray) has been poor apart from the first 4 games. Take the away game at North Ferriby - we ...

Re: Netcafe with Wright on Thursday

I was thinking the same thing H1987. Gray was happy to take the glory and good times but as soon as we looked to have slowed down and needed a little time to rejig things both on and off the pitch he caused trouble then flounced off. Surely every sensible person can see that sorting this out will ta...

Re: formation

Formation is only part of the issue. Team spirit, togetherness and attitude are also important. This is where I believe T.W really can make a difference. I've just been looking at the team that looked so toothless against North Ferriby back at the end of August. We had Beck and Ferguson playing and ...

Re: From the Echo Wright attempts to bring new signings

Just imagine, a striker in a Darlo kit scoring a goal ...... in fact imagine a striker in a Darlo kit scoring two goals - in one game!

It would seem like a some kind of crazy dream!

Always a worry when staff costs are such a high proportion of revenue. Also a worry when staff leavers are not being replaced. The squad is looking very stretched with long term injuries and yellow cards building up. Think the honeymoon is over and TW needs to start signing some talent, preferably ...

Re: Bartlett has gone

I wonder if Bartlett couldn't find a suitable coaching job to supplement his wage and got cheesed off with his drop in income.

The obvious solution to this problem would be to get a full time better paid job.

So it's panning out exactly like MG said it would without an investor, and exactly like many of us thought it would too. Manager go,s quickly followed by all the best players, team struggles, attendances struggle and we are into a vicious downward circle! Some say we cannot blame them for leaving f...

I'd much rather have it this way than Singh involved.

If we're going to struggle for a bit, it's no big deal and I think our new management team will do well, but it will take a bit of time.

Re: Darlington v Brackley Town

Quite a few people have been predicting 2000 plus crowds for our move back into Darlington, however things since the move haven't gone smoothly. Banktop wrote this in January -- "Some folks need to give their heads a good shake. Already this season at H.P we have had gates of 2001, 1996, 1730, and 1...

Was a MoM announced, or was it considered inappropriate in the circumstances? Portus got it. There is a lot of doom and gloom on this thread but Brackley are a very good side as they have skill and strength. The game yesterday reminded me of our trip to Fylde last season, we were beaten by a better...

The Ferguson money (a bonus after all) should be used for this purpose. It's money that has come out of the squad (profit if you like) and should be put back in. The Ferguson money goes towards the rolling debt that we thought we had dealt with last forum but the club decided to run with it to prov...

We need a settled defence without players playing out of position, a presence up front and something more from our wide men, good luck with that Tommy/Alan. Cartman's a good lad and all that, but this level of football is too much for him. His super fans in the Tinshed are living in the past. Barri...

Yes Vic I agree with all of that.

Their new stadium is a long way off and I wonder how popular it will be, if and when it ever gets finished.

Moves to out of town characterless stadiums don't always go smoothly, super rich business men sometimes run out of money.
