Re: Leamington v Darlo
Those two goals are dreadful to concede. Looks like Lawlor getting bullied for the last and questionable for the first. He’s been poor recently and has cost us through a lack of urgency / aggression on a number of occasions. He’s far too casual for my liking. Hopefully now with Wheater, Brookwell a...

Re: Leamington v Darlo
If we can’t win at Boston or Leamington What makes you think we can win away to top teams. Starting to look like a Baldrick type cunning plan to drop out of the play offs altogether We're Darlo and that's how we do it. Lose to the bankers and beat more difficult opposition. We're still in this, but...

Re: Leamington v Darlo
Losing our top-scorer has unsuprisingly been a big set back. Does signing players with release clauses in their contract actually help us in the long term? Yes it does help us. Getting Beck was certainly a big factor in getting us into the top 7. I'd rather be up there and trying to hang on in ther...

Re: Leamington v Darlo
Agreed losing 3 quality players like Leesley, Dodds and Beck is a massive blow when the squad lacks a bit of strength in depth. Add to that Wheater’s injury problems and the fact that Maddison didn’t work out and we have had to overcome plenty of setbacks. On the plus side we are still in good shap...

I'm not sure that it's the best tactic to throw an extra defender on to hold on to a lead when you're incapable of defending anyway.
We're better at attacking so keep attacking.

Re: Darlington V Telford
He shoots early, bullies opposition defences, drags the team up the pitch, is a complete shithouse, and is the most vocal player we have. 15 goals in a new league and he played the first 10 games out of position. He’s absolutely class and exactly what we’ve needed for years. This. All of it. Any ot...

Darlofan97 is correct in what he is saying, I don't understand why so many people are giving him a hard time. This all started off by me having a moan about how we never hear anything about Wheater, because obviously Ray has decided it's a secret for his knowledge only. Wheater got injured on Octob...

Fan owned is great in principal but for us to proceed up the leagues and not have to constantly sell players then something needs to change in the way fans fund the club. No. Nothing needs to change in the way the club is structured. I'd rather die than see us have an individual owner or majority s...

Was it 129 Spennymoor fans? Fair play to them for travelling all that distance. They're used to being spoon fed everything aren't they? Free buses to the Darlo match, cheap tickets, free season tickets galore, no need to put their hands in their pockets for anything because Brad takes care of all t...

Re: Darlington V Spennymoore
I have to say that was a spawny win by us yesterday, Spendy *easily* deserved something from that match, in my opinion. But, you love to see jammy wins don't you, and I guess a sign of a good team is a team that wins often no matter how they play. So maybe not so much luck after all. Purver is playe...

Harvey Saunders anyone? There’s a few clubs sniffing around him at present, including HUFC. Saunders is rapid, but shite. Don't think Bristol Rovers fans think he's shite. Barton signed him, having had him at Fleetwood, so he can't think he is either. Not as good as the main strikers they have, or ...

AA has made clear that Lawlor and Sukar were on the teamsheet for the game at Banbury. Good. What about Wheater then? Has he evaporated or something? Maybe if there's a couple of quid left over we could get that Middlesbrough PE teacher who lives in Boosbeck and has scored goals previously at this level. We've tried to sign him in the past. and with Wheater coming back Is he? He pulled a muscle and has been out nearly 4 months. Re: Mark Beck
I've just read the Echo piece, so it looks like the story is true. This is annoying, A.A. said previously we had no need to sell anyone, so if we keep on shooting ourselves in the foot by selling off our silverware then watch the crowds start to dwindle. Although we "don't need to sell anyone", at ...

Re: 2,300 tickets sold for Boxing day as of 18th Dec (Now 2,700 pre-sold - ONLY 3 STANDING TICKETS LEFT FOR DARLO FANS)
Why go 5 at back with Hedley/Felix as wing backs when they clearly aren’t? What are you talking about 5 at the back? It was a 4-4-2. Agreed it was until the last 20 mins when he moved Dodds alongside Lawlor/Sukar and pulled Felix back. Could argue that formation could be quite attacking but restric...

maybe because what we had on the field was our best chance of wining the game with all due respect ; Beck off for Mondal ?? Lambert off for Rivers ??? eh ?? Moke off for Liddle ?/ Dodds off for Griffifths ?? A draw would have been a fair result, but give credit to the opposition Scarborough are a g...

On the subject of the crowd, great to see a 3,000 crowd but it wasn't half as bad as I expected. I thought it was going to be 4 or 5 deep down the sides and bedlam etc, but it did seem as though most smaller people were at the front.
