Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles

Sounds like a great crowd. You can guarantee though, it being Darlo, some people will turn up on the day and angrily rant about not being able to get in, and how they didn't know. To be fair, there will be casual attendees in this position. And, frustratingly, they could be put off from going to an...

Re: Community Share Contributions

My experience, from previous issues, is that you don’t get an immediate response. I guess (understandably) there is nobody geared up to check receipts and issue acknowledgements. A little unsettling, perhaps, but I have no doubt that the volunteers at the helm are doing what they can. Inevitably, so...

Re: Salford game rearranged

Current BBC forecast is a minimum of -2 overnight, rising to 0 at 7.00 and 2 by 9.00. Up to 6 by lunchtime, but perhaps too late?

Re: Match threads - not what they were?

I wouldn't have expressed it like Andy but, to be fair, he has a point. I googled "Darlington v Harrogate result" and, inevitably, got pages of results. The first on my list (sofascore.com) gave me the result - and further details. One hit further a bit further down the list (skysports) had the scor...

Re: So, where do we go from here

I admit to being tempted to press the "Gray should go" button, but it is too early. 7 points out of 9 from the next three games, before we face the local Blyth mountain, and we could all be seeing things in a different light. Mind you, 1 or 2 points from those 9 and...

Sorry to see we are back to under £40K. At least one person must have withdrawn a pledge. Still an easy target to reach, although I acknowledge the next £50K is not going to be anything like as easy.

Been keeping an eye on this. Despite the investors 'sideline', the total has kept moving. Only £1,000 to go now. Going to make it with ease, well before the deadline.

Thanks. Stuck on a hill - don't ask! Good to see there is perhaps an extra something among the players to show that we can do the necessary, whatever rule books might say.

Sorry you feel offended and apologise if my posting backfired. I posted originally in the light of comments in another thread about not getting an average attendance of 2,000. I would have been one of those keeping the numbers down, for the reasons given. Others have tried to encourage me to change ...

OK. No absolute promise, but I will try and get out of my comfort zone.
As an aside, I wouldn't be watching either England or Corrie (never seen that), if at home, but I would most definitely have DFR on.

Re: Bradford PA

Sorry to disappoint. I guess what I am trying to say is that I admit to being a 'soft' supporter, by the standards of many others. I am put off by nasty weather; I don't travel to away games; I do put other commitments first, if they seem more important to me. Age does have a part to play. I am sure...

Foul weather forecast for tomorrow. If heavy rain happens and no postponement, looks like a low attendance game. Must be honest and say that I, for one, won't be standing in cold rain for a couple of hours.

Best to stay in NLN?

We all know that you mustn't make too much of one bad result nor a few over a short period. There are doubtless many reasons that can be put forward for why we are not doing better at the moment. But I don't want to go there. What I do feel is that we are probably not ready for promotion this season...
