Re: PC Tommy Wright

After The MG spell it was always going to be hard for TW but if you look at the results on the pitch higher than AA in the league launched our academy and on the way made us a hell of lot of money on player sales when he was asked to do so. AA PPG: 1.38 TW PPG: 1.23 Taking out the three very good c...

Re: 6 players leave

I hadn’t seen it before posting after latest AA video, just a feeling thats all - apart from one or two players most managers and players go where the money is despite what they say about loving the club who they are employed by at the time. Well yeh, think we all know if a better offer came in for...

Re: 6 players leave

It's clear that the exodus wasn't really about us not being able to compete for players' signatures. Sounds like there were a lot of other issues in the mix such as AA's desire to freshen things up. The central theme is "patience please" and let's see where we are when the wheeling and dealing is d...

Re: 6 players leave

The problem for Alun is that he needs to make signings now, but it's very hard for him to know what his budget will be, when btb runs to the end of May. Perhaps the club should look to run btb in future years through April? We have over 3 months until the season starts. Problem is players don’t han...

Re: Really frightening club loans

If you are a fan of one of these clubs your views and support mean absolutely nothing. Our model is so much better. The two worlds are totally different Derby will likely power on we as a club don’t have that type of funding and never will. We do need additional funding but until that happens then ...

Re: It is no wonder this site is

Having left TIn Shed site a couple of years ago this board is fine, yes you can get into ridiculous arguments but unfortunately that’s football, what I would say is every poster is passionate and cares about the club, Football is worse than politics about who is right, so long live Uncovered.

Re: Pool(s) If You Think It's Over

There's literally nothing wrong with Victoria Park for football at the level it's being played at. The guy is a delusional fantacist, who will then blame all around him for his failures if it goes wrong. Clubs in the NL need to make money from their ground outside of matchdays. I don't think he is ...

TBH I’m glad Pools are doing well in this current climate.
Why?
Because I like to see all North East teams do well.

Re: Fundraising Ideas

At least the club now has 5 months to sort out sponsors board renewals which should rake a fair bit in as a large proportion of the ground is covered. With the new Rugby board in place hopefully their will be opportunities to bring sponsorship into the lounge/bars and ability for events to be held s...

Idea of moving back to the Arena has been kiboshed for now (Josh will be happy). Interesting line from Dave Mills saying the relationship with the rugby club at Blackwell is as good as it’s ever been. Not a suprise at all, I knew this was inevitable after the majority of true fans rose up and refus...

Very well presented accounts the BBL will have helped plus i believe you now have up to ten years to pay it back.

Under Furlough Employers are responsible for paying paye and employers NI costs on a monthly basis. If you are paying the additional 20% then those costs will rise.

Re: Season null and voided

Doesn’t read like that to me In the interests of balance, reads exactly like that to me For what it's worth, I think we should, if we can afford to, top up the 20% if/when the players are on furlough. I certainly wouldn’t be paying the extra 20% if the club is losing money and the club will still n...

I think we have to go as far as we can in the TROPHY, it's FA competition rules ,which are different from national league rules, I am led to believe. Financial rewards no matter how small is money into the club, the national league has no grant funding so no money comes into the club , The national...

Furloughing is indeed about protecting jobs. I was trying to address the moral issue of furloughing staff after turning down a loan. But, if we take the loan, without the wherewithal to repay it, we would be trading illegally. Trading: "the action or activity of buying and selling goods and ...

Furlough or part furlough protects employees where their employer has seen a decline in sales/production etc in all industries, that if it wasn’t for the pandemic the company and jobs would be viable. I heard a rumour today it may be extended through to September in some guise.

All we have done is voted to finish the season a few months early. Everything else is as it was. Back in the summer, hopefully! Can you morally furlough staff w...

Re: David Johnson : We are in a sad position

It’s a difficult situation that’s for sure. I suppose like any other LTD business we can borrow at 2% which are extremely good rates, don’t have to make repayments for 12 months and we have ten years to pay it off, which is similar to CBILS and BBL offered to business in general.
