Yeah promotion would have caused us a lot of issues, I was never bothered at this stage for promotion. However I wanted us to make the play offs and I would have wanted us to win each game but if we missed out in the playoffs it was probably a decent enough scenario.

I am guessing a reduced budget for staff/players will be one where everyone has to get behind or may have to look for pastures new.

I would assume this would/should have been discussed when AA signed his new two year contract. Not making the play offs has probably hit us by about between £10k-£20k.

Nope as Fleetwood released him on a free and Bristol Rovers signed him. So no contract elements would be built in, we just have to be happy that the lad has had a good run in the football league and proud we gave him the platform.

Why isn't the club revealing the transfer fee? Why is it hush hush. Both clubs will want not to reveal. If you really want to know just wait until Jan/Feb 24 and it will be in the accounts or should be. It would be interesting to know from the point of view of what sort of levels Darlo are setting ...

Sadly, yes he is sure.

The media around it will be managed as opposed to just announced. I would expect/hope a player in before Saturday also, AA is certainly trying with the squad so thin.

Some players get paid 52 weeks at Darlo and some 39/40. Depends what's agreed in the contract, no idea if Beck was on a 52 week contract but quite possibly.

Some players like the money guaranteed each week, rather than 12 weeks where it's missing.
