Re: Fans urged to dig deep and to reinvest.
What else would you like to see on the BuyDarlo.org site? Further clarity on anything? I think we should get a running total on there if we can. Hi Tori ... I have a thread on the "ask 1883" forum asking for more clarity on this ... my specific questions / concerns are: 1) The crowdcube model was 1...

Re: My take on the ownership model
Ok, so what was a simple to understand model - invest in DFC1883 via CrowdCube - now seems to have so many twists and turns. It would appear that I can put my money into one of 4 (or 5) fan groups - none of which I would say that I have any real affiliation with - or direct in CIC - but as they can'...

No disrespect, but I hope that this site isn't the official Football Club website a) i'll bite. why? b) it won't be. this will continue to be the leading un official site. (although we will try to tie in the official site more closely where possible.) Pretty much like what al_quaker said....

I've been looking at train times to Shildon, and on a Saturday it would depart Darlington at 12.54, getting in at 1.18. Nothing after this for two hours. On an evening, the train departs at 5.26 arriving 5.44 or leaves at 6.54 getting in at 7.12. Trying to get home be train on a weeknight is virtual...

I'm all for this idea. The football club needs to be at the heart of the community, and as has been seen at the Arena (in previous years not just the last couple) people aren't willing/able to make it to an out of town site. How we could make it work at Blackwell where the parking and public transpo...

A two bit club going out of business with a town that on the whole couldn't care less following a model that will satisfy a few people here and there with a ground where more starlings roost than fans turn up on matchday has the luxury of some fans arranging a fundraising event, typical of DFC they...

Re: SHARES at the Arena
It's gone beyond doing my head in. We have people starting to pick at the total and saying we're not going to raise the 500k on the evidence of the crowdcube total, which is not a true reflection because of other fundraising yet to be added. I just cannot understand how or why the cash shares from ...

Normally, only shareholders that hold more than a certain percentage of a company have to declare their interest or be identifiable. Full details would be available from Companies House for a fee once the shares have been issued, but I would not expect CrowdCube to disclose this information at this ...

There is a meeting at the Dolphin Centre on Thursday, I suggest that anyone who wants a place on the Trust board or who wants to be involved in the running in some way makes sure they are signed up for the Trust and attends. Things were looking fair at the club in the summer, so I can understand why Singh wouldn't have wanted to sell at the time. Who was to know at the time that we would be in this mess now (aside from the fact that these things always seem to happen to Darlo) Life is full of What/Ifs, and hindsight is ...

Re: You lot get suckered in every time.
It's not really anything to do with hindsight . . . it's more about being realistic wondering what those well known Darlo fans George Reynolds, Stewart Davies, George Houghton and Raj Singh were doing at the club. It's more about being cautious regarding successive chairmen's intentions. Not really...
