Re: Pools
Fuck wishing them good luck. Hope the get demolished in every single game they play and come straight back down. Good to see Andy is talking sense. Hope they really struggle back in the FL. Just remember that we could still be in the same league as them in 2022/23, well we can all dream!!! Here you...

Re: 2021/22 Season Prologue thread
It's gone very quiet at the club, I'm presuming AA is on holiday at the moment? AA gives a very good update of where he is with signings etc in his interview on the latest Darlo Fans Radio podcast. You can access this by scrolling down the news column on the official website (sorry, I don't know ho...

Re: Boost the Budget Raffle
I'm looking forward to the BTB fundraising match at the RA on the 26th June. It will great to see Gary Browns 'Darlo Legends'. It would be really good if Graeme Armstrong has been persuaded to put his boots back on for one more game. It's the last day of the BTB shirt raffle - I've got my tickets. H...

Re: Season ticket
I’ve had about 10 attempts and it just keeps telling me something is incorrect .... I’ve been through multiple times and can’t see anything highlighted/ missing ... I’ll keep on trying ... then pass it over to a teenager mid June Olrad, the email I received from the club about the launch of season ...

Re: The vote of no confidence in the National league.
I'm not familiar with the U.S voting system but I'm sure there will be reasons why votes work like they do, however I'm sure voting in a huge country with multiple States is much more complex than The National League. I can see why step 1 clubs get more clout - but 5 times more!! The situation used...

Re: New Signing
Signing doesn't excite or disappoint me to be honest, hopefully the lad comes here and it works out for him. Not sure what to expect as he doesn't have a prolific record but then I haven't really seen him play enough to say he will be good or bad. He didn't score any league goals last season for Fy...

Re: George Reynolds - Time to let it go
Had reynolds not come in 1999 the club would have gone bust then and i dont recall anyone boycotting games in his early days as chairman. He seemed quite popular with some good ideas to get more fans in, especially those of us who were teenagers at the time who followed premier league teams. Im sur...

Re: Wheatley stays, Hunt and Saltmer released
Sure AA will have loads of players lined up. Minter might be a consideration as he is 3rd choice at Harrogate. Noticed their 2nd choice keeper was back for the trophy final Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Would happily have Minter back, he can't be happy being a 3rd choice keeper at a League to ...

Re: George Reynolds
Parking at Harrogate Town is Willow Tree Primary School can't be too much difference! At least there is room for a team coach to pull up right outside Harrogate Town's ground to offload players and kit. As I remember it the away coaches used to park up just outside Feethams. The club always used to...

I wonder if he hadn’t been our ‘Knight in shining armour’ and paid off our debts would we have went bust and lost Feethams anyway? I like to think if he hadn’t turned up that day we’d have found another buyer or ended up starting again at Feethams and 20 years later we’d be in a much better positio...

Re: When is null & void.......
I wonder what is happening about the clubs facing charges for not playing? Have these hearings taken place yet? Well given you can't just refuse to play games, that would set a dangerous precedent. To protect the integrity of the competition all clubs in question should receive the fines per the co...

Re: Fundraising Ideas
I know people sponsor the players but every so often (once per month) could the club raffle off a players shirt (a different players shirt each month). I know the players wore the orange shirt once this season. Could they be raffled off (£2 per ticket) between now and the beginning of next season? ...

Re: Darlington V Hornchurch Trophy Quarter Final
I wouldn't describe Hornchurch as a 'tidy side'. I thought the defending by both teams was calamitous at times. I think if Alun Armstrong watched that video he would be quite encouraged.

Good to see the players taking advantage of the community testing. A very responsible approach and hopefully encourages anyone else who is out there in the community regularly to do the same https://darlingtonfc.co.uk/news/darlington-fc-supports-community-testing-scheme?fbclid=IwAR1f5bO9Q77R9gMmMen...

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void
The National League are now saying that an "independent panel", not a "sub-committee", will be appointed to hear each case. So that is already a climb-down from their initial correspondence to clubs within the last 24/48 hours. The cases will be not be heard until the results of the resolution are ...

It is a great draw for us, but I'm somewhat doubtful it will happen. The league only seems to be going one way. This is an F A competition though, not really a lot to do withe the league.Steps 3 and below were allowed to carry on in the F A cup when their leagues were curtailed so I personally think...

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void
Furloughing is indeed about protecting jobs. I was trying to address the moral issue of furloughing staff after turning down a loan. But, if we take the loan, without the wherewithal to repay it, we would be trading illegally. Trading: "the action or activity of buying and selling goods and ...

Yeh of all the reactions that wasn't the one I expected. They will just be put on furlough, they are just as contracted as they ever were. All we have done is voted to finish the season a few months early. Everything else is as it was. Back in the summer, hopefully! Can you morally furlough staff w...

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void
Its a shame but it's been on the cards. The squad will be broken up but on the pitch we weren't great. I presume Nicky Hunt will retire and a few others will go. I think you might be jumping the gun somewhat by assuming DFC's voting declaration will be the eventual outcome. Have you actually looked...
