Re: I know
Low bank balance and a large tax bill approaching allegedly. Probably not true however. Fair play to them, Rockcliffe are doing well too. I can confirm not true, being a DMPRFC member of many years standing I hope the club really do get to where they want to be. Believe me it's not the same ...

I'll stick a tenner in Tim, and it won't affect what I would have given to the club, I'll just do without my takeaway on Friday! I'll sort it out for you in the morning.

Re: Darlington FC V Warrington Town
For a supposedly clever legal person seems to have a chronic lack of understanding of rules. The rule is the game must be played with 2 officials. Let's look back at a previous post by Divas, where he has copied up said rule 15.3 (Page 531 of the Handbook) In the event of any of the Match Officials...

Re: Fans of other clubs get in cheaper
If the club wants to raise revenue, the FIRST thing they need to do is to stop the guy on the turnstile arbitrarily letting kids in for NOTHING. I have mentioned this several times. No other poster has even replied, never mind anybody from the club reading this and doing anything about it. Have you...

Re: Stockdale rumour
The club need to be more transparent in terms of the money the club spend and what they owe. This is one of the main reasons IMO that some fans are becoming frustrated and losing interest. We were promised transparency from the very start. At the beginning we received a breakdown on monies owed but...

Re: Just in case our resident wordsmith is feeling shy…
Bit of an error re the play-off final. Is there? Where? After pushing Curzon Ashton most of the way, eventually we had to concede the 2013-14 title to them and settle for second place, before Ramsbottom then overcame us in a bad tempered play-off final. We never actually made it to the play off fin...

Unless some signings appear in the next couple of weeks the. I fully expect us to start the season with Brown at right back and Walker at left back, with Hunter and hopefully White in the middle. Not sure about anybody else but I'm excited by the prospect of a Portas/Galbraith midfield partnership. ...

Re: Blackwell Meadows pitch arrangements
Only the first teams for both codes will use the main pitch. So that's 32 league matches + cup and friendlies per season. I didn't realise they played both codes? Their website says they have a first XI that play union. Doesn't mention anything about a League side? The league side formed at the beg...

Only the first teams for both codes will use the main pitch. So that's 32 league matches + cup and friendlies per season. The seconds and thirds, plus womens teams etc will move to another pitch for their games. The other pitches will need to have subs benches and fencing on them to allow the secon...

Re: Tom Portas - New Signing
What is all this "clubs never learn mate" BS? How can a "club" be capable of "learning" anything? Presumably he means the board of directors, which of course is different to the last lot who saw us into administration. And if he does mean the current directors, what does he mean when he says we've ...

Re: Ground Hog Day?
The DMPRFC accounts are due out soon. They have invested heavily in the infrastructure at the arena with new floodlit pitches etc and changes to some concourse areas, yet the accounts will show that they are pretty much breaking even and were comfortably on course to make a profit next season. Budge...

Re: no bottle
Whilst I agree the officials were s***, we weren't good ourselves, the long ball stuff has to stop. We NEED a centre mid who can play the ball. Not Hopson, not Davis, an actual attacking CM. Like teams that beat us have, proper central attacking midfielders. For me Purewal offered nothing and it's ...

Re: Blackwell Meadows
To be honest i think the stand behind the goal was a waste of money. Even in the guisborough and team north games it was half empty Yeh but we will probably need it to meet minimum requirements. Are there 250 seats in the Blackwell stand at the moment? 150 exist at Blackwell as it is now I think.

Re: Darlo v Padiham - Sat 12th April
Would be nice to think that whoever is responsible for the pitch over there (council or bishop), actually did a bit of TLC sometime. A good roll over wouldn't come amiss, to flatten out the divots and ruts before it dries out too much. From what I've seen it just seems to be left week in week out a...

Re: A couple of things about last night...
It was supposed to have been done a little while ago, it's been held off until after the Curzon game. But the 2,004 capacity doesn't include the grass banking so it won't stop us getting a full house if the situation arose. You actually get a decent view from the seats behind the goal as well. Think...

Re: crowd numbers weds
Might I be the first to apologise, really didn't expect that crowd. It was an awesome effort on a Weds night. Such a shame we didn't play anywhere near how we know we can. Curzon stifled us and had a much better gameplay to cope with the conditions. Fair play to them.
