Re: 3G .... A way forward?

I really don't want to see us playing our matches on 3G pitches. No matter how good the technology, from my experience it plays very different to grass and in that something very traditional in the game is lost. I like the idea of players and teams having to adapt to conditions as well ad play good ...

Also a very proper of him to not be drawn in on the ref, saying; ' the officials have a very difficult job'. Do you think he's been on an anger management course? Maybe he was Whooosaaaaaaa'ing in the changing room before he did the interview.

Re: Scarborough vs Darlo- Match Thread

just finished watching the extended highlights absolutely great win yesterday. A real battling performance understandably 2nd game in a few days and 4th game in about 9 days if my maths is right (after a spell like that Raheem Sterling would need 4 weeks holiday in the Bahamas). First half i think i...

Re: Darlo v Droylsden Match thread

Good win for us yesterday another win against tricky opposition, by the sounds of it we started with a real intensity again just like against Northwich that meant we took control of the game in the first half. Nice to see us knocking in 5 goals. Cartman getting a couple, hitting form at just the rig...

Re: Top 7 Sat Apr 04th, 2015

Really think this will go down to the wire. Darlo never make things dull and easy do we? Salford do have easier games on paper I agree, on the basis that over the season so far the teams we have to play have got more points than the teams they have to play. However just looking a the results (and wh...

Re: Darlington FC V Droylsden

White back in to CB for me. Move Brown to RB. Mitch to RM and Thompson across to LM in place of Galbraith. If Dowson is struggling with injury then Cartman in, in his place.

Jameson

Brown, Hunter, White, Watson.

Mitchell, Portas, Scott, Thompson.

Armstrong, Cartman.

Re: Good News

I think it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Going forwards 2,500 should give us plenty for most games. In the future I think the club house side is the one to be developed if we can raise the funds. But very happy with the fact that there seem to be no more major obstacles in the way of our move ...

Re: Northwich away Tuesday

You just know it's going to be off and we'll fall even further behind. Even if it is off, we don't fall any further behind. Salford to my knowledge aren't playing tomorrow night so they won't be getting any further in front. We have a free mid-week in April to fit the game into. It's not ideal I ag...

Re: This season/last season

Nothing has changed. still the same possible outcomes. Think we're very capable of getting 92 points this season and if we're on form we're good enough for the maximum 95. All that's happened today is Salford have played 1 of their 2 tougher remaining games (Scarborough and Spennymoor) and they have...

Re: £225000 reached

Regarding the 13K(ish) that's in the back to darlo fund. Has the club been made aware of it? eg. it makes up part of the 225K(ish) already raised? Or is this money to be added on top of what we already have?

Re: Ian Watson

Watson is too good at left back for me to want to see him anywhere else. His positioning, tackling, work rate and how comfortable he is on the ball make him a real asset in the FB position. He was a key part in the defense that won so many games in a row keeping a lot of clean sheets. Probably our s...

Re: AVERAGE ATTENDANCE AND NUMBER OF SEASON TICKET HOLDERS

I'd be happy with an average of 1,500-1,600. I think in the first few games the attendances will be a bit swollen so could be pushing towards 2,000, especially if we're coming home off the back of a promotion. There's always the chance that local interest games possibly against the likes of; Spenny,...

Match Vs New Mills

A game in quick succession, long trip for a mid-week game but hopefully after a good win on Saturday we keep the momentum going now and score a good win away from home. If I'm right White and Mitchell are both banned for this game? So neither will be able to play. I think this will just mean a coupl...

Dont know if its been talked about, but we had Weldon on the bench yesterday. I thought he had gone to America to play in the second tier over there? Any news on what sort of stage his fitness is at? Could we see him on the pitch before the end of the season? As for yesterday we gave away 2 goals. F...

Match Vs Prescot

With all the positives that are happening off the pitch it's time to get back to positives on the pitch now, last week is behind us ad it would be great to get out on the pitch and give ourselves a convincing win. Spenny have a tough game with Warrington after both were beaten in mid-week, Northwich...

Absolutely fantastic news. As others have said Thank you to Martin Jesper, Dave Mills and to anyone who has bought into this or invested their hard earned money. Probably just about the results we would have wanted from tonight's fixtures. Results at Spenny and Warrington showing once again that all the teams in this league will lose games they'd think they should be winning before the end of the season. Hopefully ours are out of the way now and its all abou...

I can see what people are worrying about in terms of future expansion, but I think the dates that we're talking about are a long way in the future yet. If we have a 3,000 capacity we have a good basis to build upon. The end on the south park side can be developed, I'm sure the tin shed could be rede...

That's what FC United thought, look at the crowds they pull in. The NPL Premier is a very, very tough league. Name and reputation counts for nothing, you really have to earn the victories in the next league up. If we go up do not expect to be winning every week, it's not going to happen You can mak...

Really disappointing result yesterday, especially considering our rivals slipped up. Glad Mitch is here till the end of the season, he's our first choice RB for me atm. Might be difficult to hang on to him past the end of the season mind, i'd imagine there'll be a few trials for him in the summer, but hopefully we'll be promoted by then and after that, good luck to the lad.

It's a big ask to raise that money in such a short period of time however it's certainly not insurmountable. The club has obviously done its due diligence and looked down avenues of funding. But just to get this straightened out: The rugby club have been granted £75,000 to expand the car park? (is t...
