Re: Welcome Greg Mills and Luke Trotman

As a left winger Mills seems to have a decent goalscoring record. I wonder if Trotman is more the sort of full back you would want playing a back 3 than our existing full back options?

Maybe some departues from those pushed down the pecking order?

Re: Young players

Realistically its going to be very difficult to say no to a player who is given the opportunity to go full time. The important thing is to ensure we get a fair price at the time with sell on clauses so that we benefit if they are able to progress thru the full time ranks.

Going to help the club's board out by creating a list of people who are Darlo through and through. Re: Time to stop

Yep, I think the board might want to perhaps invite more applications, or maybe seek permission to talk to a certain club about a certain manager who may have made an enquiry about the job but not sent a CV in. I'm not sure after choices 1 and 2 from the interviewees turned us down, that we should ...

Re: New manager poll

Wright seriously doesn't offer anything surely. Not from the area, is he really going to uproot his family for a part time job at Darlo. It's bad enough players travelling but the manager! His record at our level is poor with a full time team! . Not a popular choice with fans, haven't heard any pos...

Interesting line in Stoddart's tweet

'Talks reached a stalemate yesterday'

Re: Fans Radio

Getting some revenue into the club thru the radio broadcasts must be worth looking at. On the basis of no hard evidence whatsoever I would think the great majority of listeners to home games are us exiles so a local Darlo firm might not be too keen to put adverts in. More home based fans presumably ...

Re: New manager poll

One potential candidate for me is Andy Toman who has a good knowledge of the North east scene and is currently coaching in Norway. He also has a good knowledge of the club and was a terrific midfield player. One form left field but the more I think about it the more interesting he becomes as he ful...

Senior players covering is the only practical option but you wouldn't want it to continue for long.

An interesting concern was raised by Mel Prescott: I served on the DFCSG board from November last year until August, when I felt I needed to step down, primarily due to starting a new job. However, I was also disillusioned with the way the Football Club and DFCSG interact and the lack of opportunit...

Yes, I think it was a great idea to ask for CVs.
