I think we saw his car on the A1 pre match - black Mercedes, fancy plate.

Re: Asante
It's surprising how much is written on here about Asante considering there won't be many on here that can remember what he looks like.

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
One thing I think we can all agree on is Watson MUST stay.
It's been a perfect storm of problems made worse by J.G. - it would seem he is the Liz Truss of Darlington football Club.

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
Just to drift off topic for a minute - during Covid, when DFC officials phoned up fans, I was lucky enough to take a call from Alun. He went above and beyond boxing ticking too because he was on for about an hour, and we had a right good natter about Darlo - he was amenable/candid. I'll always be gr...

Re: Blue card & sin bins
Referees surely have enough powers now.
Saturday’s game is a good example, if the ref had cracked down early on Alfreton’s cheating, skullduggery and time wasting then we might have been able to watch a game of football.

Bad behaviour by players on the pitch does creep into the stands - I agree with this point.

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
If we'd stuck the £30,000 on it to win how much would we have got? £105,000 I got 3/1 early last night so £90k for bet plus the £30k stake = £120k, so depending on time of bet. And the horse romped home, may be our team can now follow that example :D That horse is having a hell of a season and seem...

Re: Blue card & sin bins
There should always be a goalie on the bench IMO. It nearly cost us on Saturday and it arguably did cost us Alfreton's second goal according to S.W.

Re: Darlington v Alfreton 10/02/24
On the Alfreton official site their report says that the red card incident was a case of mistaken identity, however I’m not so sure. It looked like the player involved got a soft yellow for time wasting, play acting or possibly even dissent. Did anyone get a close up view of this? The Ref was a spa...

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
Before the next BTB, I'd like the club to confirm that the money put into the budget from other sources won't be cut. It seems that the more we put in, the money that comes from other sources and the club goes down. If we raise a record BTB, then we should have a record playing budget. https://yout...

Re: Darlington v Alfreton 10/02/24
Heath must know that a lot of referees at this level aren’t strong enough or shrewd enough to deal with the professional standard of shithousery that he has drilled into his players. It was funny yesterday when the referee dished out a soft yellow for time wasting, having forgotten about that player...

They roll around, waste time, break up play, tug shirts, they utilise every trick in the book - not just a few times, but as a fully blown ideology right through a match. D.J. is keeping a very low profile at present.
The money stuff and stadium stuff is his big thing, if he’s reached a dead end with that he could be cheesed off.

Watson. I notice there’s one or two getting a bit narky. He shouldn’t be criticised for not bringing players in, he will be trying but if they’re not there, what can he do? To me, performances have improved since he took over and the players now look better drilled and more committed, we’re not a lo...

What if a team getting beat has 2 men sent off then 1 in sin bin so only have 8 men on pitch does the game get abandoned ? Gowling gambled everything on Asante, it not only backfired on him, it backfired on us too, and is still backfiring. Turn the clock back and imagine if he'd hit the ground running, scored goals, brought in points, galvanised the team etc - it would be a different story now. You need a good imaginati...
