If he's fit then my guess would be its because Todd doesn't want two strikers on the bench for a game in which he intends to counter attack, so it makes sense to pick the faster, fitter strikers in Gall, Dowson and Main over the likes of Thorpe and Windass.

To further Stu's point I don't think Russell was too tall either and he did alright between the sticks.

I think we have a good keeper in Knight and with further games and growing confidence I can see him being a pivotal figure as the season wears on.

As long as it's a home match that'll draw a decent crowd to get some money in the coffers then I'm not really bothered.
