Agar isn’t up to it.

Leeds will be ok but it’ll be only papering over the cracks.

Re: Rugby League

Lucky lucky Hull KR, as they get away with a blatant penalty which should have been awarded in the last 2 minutes, right in front of the posts. Yes we did, but bloody hell, yet again you totally ignore what went on before. Forget the rest, just explain how that knock on try, clearly seen and disall...

Re: Rugby League

Impressive performance by Wigan last night, as they continue there excellent run against Leeds. Zak Hardaker has an impressive game, apart with his boot. he also scored a fantastic opportunist try. Wane has a good headache with his option of Tomkins or Hardaker. Current form I go the latter especia...

Re: What do you like on TV at the moment?

On your recommendation I've been binging on Spiral, just finished series 5. My partner said that she hates subtitles, but she's hooked on Spiral. I glad you like it, I’ve finish it now; you won’t be disappointed. Probably in my top 5 of boxsets I think I've already seen series 6 & 7, but not the la...

Re: Hartlepool By Election

I see the bookies have the Conservatives as favourites to win the by-election. Labour should be walking a contest like this. Even if they win, it will be terrible news for Starmer, unless Labour can increase their majority. https://www.oddschecker.com/politics/british-politics/hartlepool-by-electio...

Re: What do you like on TV at the moment?

Last episode of Bloodlands last night which has been a watchable new thriller and blatantly set up for a second series. Really looking forward to the return of Line of Duty next week which is excellent. I wasn’t keen on Bloodlands tbh, I found a lot of it didn’t make sense. Loving Line of Duty. Sin...

Fanzines were a fantastic part of the football culture in 1980S / 1990s

Shame they faded away, over taken by social media.

Selling 1000 copies to crowds of 2500 is an uptake rate most football club can only dream over with programmes or other publications
He’s right!

After 2 games in I am well happy with Tigers start with 2 wins, always nice beating that small town in Yorkshire ! HICKS, what a cheating b****** that man is. Both Saints first 2 trys were forward last passes. We hold them well enough they resort to taking a penalty and a drop goal and he helps yet again by stopping the game when Quinny breaks away and has the gall to give us the bloody ball back in the corner ...

I didn't get to see today's games, but what a great result for Castleford, as they spring the surprise of Round 1. Not often I congratulate Rob's team. Re: Rugby League

Well that was almost a massive shock for Wigan, as we struggled to overcome a very spirited Leigh side. Some good individual performances, but some weak performances as well. Obviously, having 8 first team players out doesn't help, but you just have to get on with it. at least we had 20 unanswered ...

Watched 'It's a Sin' on channel 4 last night, really good drama. Pretty dark but humerous in places.

3 is the only decent option and it’s time (actually it was ages ago) that we try something else other than hoops. Why is it time to move on from hoops? If a majority of the fanbase prefer them (and they do as hoops has won every vote for years) and see them as our identity, why should it be abandon...

Re: What do you like on TV at the moment?

Yes I've watched 2 or 3 series of Spiral on BBC4 in the past & as you say they get better & better. I heard somewhere that this current series is the last one that has been made, a great pity. Generally BBC4 on a Saturday night has some excellent foreign crime detectives, the very best was The Kill...

If the first couple of series were anything to go by, Spiral at 9pm tonight on BBC4 will be excellent viewing. Of course you have to be able to put up with subtitles of the French detective series. I’m watching this at the moment. It got recommended to me sometime ago, apparently it gets better and...
