Re: Anthony Bell signs for Quakers

Think Watson might be on this way before long. Whitley Bay or Blyth would be my guess.

Re: Anthony Bell signs for Quakers

Says quite a lot that he got taken on by Cardiff City for 2 years. Also says a lot that he's dropped to NPL level without being able to find a club higher up. But at any rate, I hope he does well. As others have said, I presume this is to give Gray the option of moving Thompson up front if needed. ...

Maybe this official news account needs its own thread. Most new posts hardly count as news and the board is littered with it.

Yes it was poor. Guess £12 was asking too much, it didn't really appeal enough. Need to try something different.

Noticed York is £10 what is rumoured to be their reserves. Again a bit rich for a friendly.

Turnbull could sign for Blyth.

However he recently followed Atkinson, and he follows back. So it passes the Atkinson Twitter test.

Fuck who cares about BM. I'm more interested in getting the right working life balance.

Our official Twitter is full of pointless crap. And we have 29 different Darlo related accounts repeating it just in case we miss the irrelevant pointless turd.

Bring on the season already.

Re: Gray's first 3 years - Echo article

Any 'delay' will most probably be down to the £150k FSIF grant that we applied for once we matched the funding. I believe that grants of this amount can take up to 12 weeks to process and then a decision made. I do not think that you can appoint contractors or start work until the grant application...

Re: B.M. Update needed?

I agree with the opening poster. Would be good to be kept up to date with developments. It's not flapping, simply good communications. A decent amount of time has elapsed since the fundraising initiative was competed and I think an update is due. A) Have we been awarded/recieved the grant funding w...

Re: B.M. Update needed?

Although I'm not flapping about it I do think it's possible for the board or someone to give the occasional update and get on with it at the same time. One doesn't stop the other. I'm guessing there is nothing worthwhile to say yet. By the way. What happened with season tickets. Early bird ended and...

Re: Change of playing name

Interesting re the 5 years in the Farsley statement. Although as we requested a change last year, I guess it doesn't apply to us. I also guess that as we haven't heard anything, we weren't successful or didn't apply. Doesn't look like we did. Unless we hear something today. 5 years is something to ...

Re: Summer 2015 - Friendlies/Cup Draws/Signings/League place

Early Bird offers are ended, but annual season tickets should still be available. It would be good to know the numbers sold so far. Maybe money is being allocated more for debt repayments, so no info is being supplied for building up our hopes for relatively dear signings to strengthen the squad. T...

Re: EVO PREM SIGNINGS

You cannot begrudge a young player, out of contract, that has been given the opportunity to move up 2 divisions. He is under 23 and Blyth will be eligible for compensation via a tribunal Not sure if this has been asked and don't really know how the tribunal for out of contract players works. But wo...

That flag was purchased by the board wasn't it? The official Twitter had 1883 in the profile until fans opposed. Pathetic. The early board going with that 1883 branding was lame, suppose that's the problem with having non Darlo fans making some of the big early decisions. 1883. Town would have been...

Re: Hatchy stays! Welcome Rob Youhill!!

Ingleby, most teams at this level do that. I'm sure that tactic got us a goal against Spennymoor in a league game, and saw us score within seconds against Ossett Albion and Consett. That's just from memory. Never seen anyone do it against us recently. Maybe they wait 30 seconds not the second touch...
