Re: Darlington v Alfreton 10/02/24

Could have been so different if we had taken the chances we had in first 5mns, but FACT we didn't. Add in yet another poor set of officials and a side who tugged shirts, pushed & pulled, stole 10 yards every throw, simulated injury & timewasted at every opportunity and there was a poor game & poorer...

Re: Season 23/24

Turns out that Josh Gowling was our Liz Truss / Kwasi Kwarteng moment. Blew a load of dosh in some crazy beliefs like signing unfit players on big money which has damaged our future.

Re: Blue card & sin bins

Tommy Taylor has been posting about this on Twitter, wondering what would happen if a keeper got binned for 10 minutes. Does an outfielder have to go in goal, or would there be a temporary substitution so a sub keeper could come on (if you had one) and an outfield player go off for the bin period. ...

Blue card & sin bins

The proposed introduction of a 3rd card will make referrees' role harder, but the idea of a sin bin is an improvement. If a player gets a yellow card, there is little enough benefit to the opposition, however a 10mn cooling off for the player & penalty of having 10 v 11 would be a better deterrent. ...

Re: Darlington v Alfreton 10/02/24

According to the club website there will be a precautionary pitch inspection on Saturday morning. Surely there is either an inspection or there isn’t, the word precautionary is a complete red herring. If you are examining the pitch to see if it is playable, then that constitutes a pitch inspection ...

One step forward, two steps back. Couple of the lads looked leggy & some failed to turn in any effort but Platt, Main, Curry & Cornish put a shift in. More points dropped & a game in hand wasted.

BM may not be a fortress but it is a long way from Hereford. Got to catch them cold in 1st 10 mins by having 3 up front and getting balls into their box rather than passing sideways.

Only 4 games on today in NLN, but the 3 other teams in the relegation zone, Bishop Stortford, Gloucester and Kings Lynn are all in action. Could do with them all losing. Which they nearly did! Only a 90+1 min equalizer by King's Lynn spoiled the day. Now we need to make the most of our games in han...

Re: Jassem Sukar

Quite suprised that Scarborough wanted to take him, perhaps they are short on defenders. I know some on here rate him, and I would agree he gives 100% but for me his distribution is really poor. Barrow looks a far more accomplished left back and Siddick a better left sided central defender. Spot on...

"Attacking midfielder" sounds promising as we do not have enough players who get into the opposition box. Also no mention of phrases like "recovering from long-term injury" or "lacking match fitness", so hopefully he will be straight into the squad.

There are few advantages to being fan owned but at least BtB gives us some say & involvement. Some King's Lynn fans were envious & their owner gave us a mention too. https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/24031330. ... lynn-town/

Great start by Barrow at King's Lynn. Bit surprised he lasted on the pitch so long, but could have been risking a relapse. Hope he keeps fit & turning in such great performances which could get us out of a hole!

King's Lynn are full-time yet looked like a pub team. How are the mighty fallen? Absolutely made up for SW, Barrow /Siddik / Curry & the whole team who executed a smash & grab to perfection. Hope we have turned the corner & with another BtB will give SW a bit of dosh to work wonders with in 2024.

For me there is only one person for the job to get us out of this mess and that is Martin Gray. Sorry, Martin G would not get us out of this mess although DFC will fo...
