Re: What's the point of fan ownership?

Most seems reasonable in terms of ideas. The thing that didn't seem quite right was a suggestion that the stadium stuff was over to us to choose a site and just get on with it. My understanding was that our site will effectively be the preference of council town plan and where a sports facility / ve...

Re: Points deduction

That is the last mention of a points deduction on the club website / news.

Whilst abusing match officials and crowd behaviour issues are against FA rules they aren't contrary to any league competition rules - and only one can result in a points deduction.

Re: Points deduction

I see from Facebook that we have a suspended points deduction. I must have missed/ forgotten about this. What was it for? And will last night’s flare incident impact have an impact? Was it now for the crowd trouble at Scarborough last season. I was almost sure that was an FA matter not a league mat...

Re: Points deduction

The league are the only ones who can issue points deductions and stuff like pryros is the FA's domain.

The only thing you usually get points deductions for is league administrative issues.

Going to jinx it right now - but it is "in our own hands" to be out of the relegation zone at 5PM on Saturday.

Blyth v King's Lynn and Banbury v Southport, they can't all get 3 points!

Re: Darlo V Scunthorpe

As long as 28 days have elapsed parent club can recall. There is an exception for goalkeepers where you don't need to wait 28 days. I strangely assumed that Barrow would still be with York day-to-day - so would have already been looked at. Like I assumed that Young would still be with Sunderland dur...

Football throws more people out than it keep, but I'd never rule out anyone being able to get a good fit somewhere and it working out for a year or two...anything beyond that is a very long time in football.

I thought that.

Unless I am mistaken there wasn't a single Gowling player who featured against Curzon Ashton?

It was Armstrong + Watson.

Re: Blue card & sin bins

Which means a sin bin will be communicated through issuing a yellow card + verbal confirmation to the player to confirm they need to go to the sin bin.

As it has been for the past however many seasons it has been trialled for below step 4.

Re: Curzon V Darlington

There's also Ashton United, Ashton Town and Ashton Athletic. It's a very decent setup, they're always welcoming, no need for segregation and never any animosity that I've seen. Great pitch too-lay off them! They're a decent team and we've been really struggling so let's enjoy the ride. Ashton Town ...

Yesterday marked the 25th aniversary of the last all-English Premier League side. "Not Darlo related, do-one" you scream? That team contained two players with Darlo connections. Re: Goal difference.

Indeed. I think if we were to beat Southport by two goals we would be back level with them on GD as well.

Games against teams around us arguably '7 pointers' never mind 6 pointers as they could reduce the damage of the Chorley / Buxton games.

Think those numbers are quite conservative.

I know full backs in NPL Division One costing more than what you have down for Barrow there.

And youth strikers on loan from fellow NLN clubs to that level who are paid more than what you have down for Cornish.

Don't know what the right approach is with this sort of thing... it seems different clubs have different attitudes when there's violence involved. Can I sum up the first post. The economics, when run as a not for profit, don't provide a return on investment. We therefore need to relinquish control to a private investor who won't be able to get a return on their investment. If we can't generate enough surplus income to provide a return on inves...
