Re: Im impressed, is anyone else?
Good luck to him. He's got very little chance at all! I hope so, if their is a plan that we drop 2 divsionse but rebuild without him getting a penny then I seriously would look to take this route. It certainly makes me want to do it just to piss him off. It's all in the plan detail - which none of ...

Re: Im impressed, is anyone else?
We can't offer a 100% CVA if Raj states he is owed 800k. Then we would say offer 10p in the pound CVA and Raj would still get 80k. Although I guess he would reject this as it's not substancial enough and we p-off all the other creditors with a pittance. The man is determined on two things. 1.) Get s...

Re: Evo-stik & ground share likely (Gazette latest)
So if we get relegated by two divisions to Evostick North Premier, what is Raj getting out of that. This is the key for me, if he is still getting anything even if it is 2p they found in the South Stand, then I don't know if I can accept that. Basically by the sounds of it, we are now stating that 2...

Re: Singh Makes Statement tonight
The thing is, all this talk about no CVA stuff, it concerns me that while we go down this route, we still get tied to Raj for clauses. Otherwise, surely it would be better to just bite the bullet, go the no CVA route, take the extra demotion, pay off all the credible debt with the money raised ours...

Which is correct , CVA or a not a CVA ? "A number of options were discussed and agreement was reached in principle by Mr. Singh in relation to the proposed CVA of Darlington Football Club 2009 Limited. "Today different proposals, not involving a CVA, have been put forward by the rescue group and di...

Re: Singh Makes Statement tonight
Raj can have his clauses if we stay in the BSN and the FA agree to them. (Which they won't) If not he can sign the CVA for nothing (which he agreed to previously by word) and we go in the BSN. (Which he won't) If we have to go in the Evostick then I would want Raj to get nothing but a bad name. (Pro...

Re: Groundshare
The financial models briefly presented were based on BSP - 1900, BSP 110% - 2100, BSN 1700. I see no reason why crowds would be less than 1700 as an average in the BSN, because you'd presume we might be half decent at that level. They'd only be significantly lower than that if we are utter dog turd...

Re: Gateshead released / retained
Worryingly struggling to get excited about a game of 'who should we sign', and I usually love that game. Not sure whether it's the sheer embarrassment of us now picking over Gateshead's scraps, or the fact that we don't yet know what level we'll be at and so can't be sure that those scraps are even...

Re: Groundshare
One huge consideration for us has to be the number of fans who will be turning up to watch. The 1400 you have mentioned in your last post would look optimistic in light or recent crowds. Undoubtedly the feel good factor around the community ownership and hopefully a team winning games would both he...

Re: Groundshare
Yes see your points on budget and this must be difficult to set in stone currently as we have no concrete idea what league we will be playing in, what stadium and even if we have a club. I know originally we planned for 1400 in the BSN, do we think things have changed since these initial plans? I gu...

Re: Groundshare
Thanks for the update Craig. I think in a true sense the majority of Darlington fans want to play in Darlington, in a smaller ground closer to the town centre. At the moment we all accept that the above is a pipe dream as we may not have a club and may end up playing in the Dog and Duck league, seas...

Re: 1883 very quiet
So if Raj lets us go to the wall. Here is a scenario that won't happen but would be funny. Council lift the rules on the land and Scott and Sizer sell for say 6 million to Tesco. S&S get the 2 million back, plus some profit, Council invest the rest in a community stadium and we pay the council rent....

Re: Potential stadium move
Only way a groundshare will work is if we have a plan and work on building a new ground, with a small timeframe for our move back to Darlo. If we have to move to say Bishop to stay alive with no ground plan which would then mean no promotion, then I am out of this. (I don't say that lightly) I do be...

Re: Echo today
I would say Liddle is gone. He now has to look to make a decision which suits him and his family. Rumour mill says Boro are interested in him running the youth team set-up and I would guess that's where he will be soon. He held the club together during this period, so I thank him for this. Not sure ...

Re: Potential stadium move
Unless they is a long term plan then a groundshare is the end of DFC.
NO problem whilst we are waiting for a stadium to be built but without a plan no point.
What crowd would we get in say Bishop's stadium. For starters I think I would not be able to attend as much.

Ive never really known about all the different supporters groups but this seems like excellant work. £25 is a bargain for the ticket, box and carvery! Maybe the club could promote this directly as people like myself who have no affilication to any supporters clubs would like this kind of package! T...

Excellent work. I am at the match tomorrow but for cost reasons, can't join in the box as it's em and the boy and we already have tickets - although I love the idea. If/When we make it through this, for the first home game of next season would the Darlo Tykes be willing to fill the boxes again. Espe...

HOPES are growing that the community takeover of Darlington FC could be imminent after “extremely positive” talks were held with outgoing chairman Raj Singh. Les McJannett, I apologise for my boot comment it was uncalled for. Apology accepted. I actually see your points, I might not agree but I see them for what they are. Years of dodgy characters makes you not want to trust anyone who is not doing it for free and has not supported Darlington for years....
