Re: any fresh ideas for the site

Be a bit more ruthless with posters such as alleztfc by deleting their nonsence posts or locking/deleting their threads.

I must say though, it is much better now than it ever has been though.

Thanks for that Divas, very interesting, it certainly backs up Davey's team selections.

I don't get the whole Arnison is shyte stuff, because he clearly isn't.

Re: The Blue Square Bet Premier

If thats the case then its a good opportunity for the club to close the away end for a change and put them in one block in the south stand. And have both sets of fans in the same concourse? As the South Stand only has 2 areas doesn't it? One on each side of the tunnell? More than half the BSP clubs...

It does entertain me, the sheer number of fans who claim to have supported since the 70s yet this is the worst period in the clubs history...

I'm only old enough to have remember 93/94 onwards and I've had worse times supporting the club.

Re: Alan White - should we try to sign him?

We are a League Two team, we are not going to sign a technically gifted libero as a centre half. White is old and slow but tough as old boots and an experienced campaigner who is ideal to lead the youngsters in the squad. As Spyman says, he does more right than wrong and merits a place in the squad....

Their penalty was a definite contact and a pen, however his exaggerated fall makes the player look daft.

Boston were relegated to the Conference North from L2 due still being admin. They were later demoted to the Unibond, but now seem on their way back. Lets hope we dont go into admin again. :? That's the one. Apparently the Football League adopted the same policy, so according to North West Late Kick...

If we can do what Carlisle did when they were in a similar position and finish with a bang and a buzz around the club which continues into next season we'll probably get similar crowds to now.

Has there previously been a club punished for starting consecutive seasons in administration?

I'm sure someone was thrown out of the Conference was a couple of years back but can't remember who it was.

Re: The Stiffs

If the club want to do a reserve team on the cheap, why not enter a local supply league such as the Wearside League or Northern League Division Two? Proper competitive football, within a smaller travelling radius.

Bushead, as a Northern League man, is this possible?

Re: New Strips Change

Why should the people who won the original draw, fair and square, be penalised?

The kit change has been forced by the Conference, not Errea, the club or the fans and it still the same kit template.

You are moaning for the sake of it.

Ultimately, the less we charge, the lower the budget.

I'd love to see prices drop and the crowds pick up, but I know deep down even if it was £1 we'd struggle to get over 5k.

Re: Changed kit for next season

My problem isnt actually with the kit, I prefer the black, but Im not greatly fussed. Its the fact we didnt think to get approval before, and they should do another prize draw, with everyones name in the hat, as no one voted for this kit. A complete and unnecessary over-reaction. 99% of clubs do no...

The rules do allow black shorts, but maybe Errea thought if the panel was white the shorts would need to be.

Black shorts would look better on the new design, in my opinion.

Re: Changed kit for next season

Only clubs playing in the professional leagues (Football and Premier Leagues) are permitted to wear a predominantly black kit, by all accounts even then it cannot be the 'home' kit. No teams at semi-pro (Conference Premier and below) and amateur levels can wear black as the colour is reserved for ma...

Any brainless tit can dredge a thread from the start of the season.

Most thought Miller and Foster would be rock solid, Windass was good for 15 goals and Smith and Lumsdon had solid League 1 pedigree.
