Re: Fancy our chances...?

Talking of splashing the cash, MG is taking no chances this time around at York as he nows has SIX strikers on the books: YORK City manager Martin Gray has declared himself happy with his striking options for next season after signing Macaulay Langstaff form Gateshead. Langstaff will join fellow ne...

Re: New Signing.

I’m not too keen on a 6 month loan for a keeper. Could land us in a bit of trouble if we can’t get an adequate replacement when the loan ends mid season. Wonder if it is in fact Aynsley and Boro want him to play at a higher level but doing us a favour only for the 6 months. Sent from my iPad using ...

Re: Tommy wants 3 new players

Attacking midfielder isn’t he? Echo tonight says he’s a forward who can play left wing who played League 2 last season. Nicholson ticks that box Looks a very good signing going by the video highlights, good left foot and can score goals.3 good signings by Tommy so far and looking like only a keeper...

What a waste to be back in the NL playing in front of 100 or so.Thought Spenny, S Shields or Blyth would have snapped him up.Crazy.

Re: York City

Gray must have another sizeable budget to work with the way he is like a loose cannon snapping up players from a club in crisis.McGill has to be pumping another small fortune into the club, amazing when his stake in the club is up for sale.Sadly with these signings by Gray, York must be early favouri...

Re: Tom Portas

I thought he had be offered the chance to stay and earn a new contract - but maybe he decided to move on and try and earn a deal elsewhere - which is fair enough. Stranger things have happened and he may even come back at some point. I dont think right back was his best position. Tom filled in well...

Can't believe that given there financial woes, that they could hope to remain full time next season. I know I am confused, they have to live within their means according to the directors, how can they afford all the staff and 18 full time players at this level? Because they pay them the same as a M...

Where were York when Ferret Boy took over? They were 5-4-3 in the league when Money Mart came in. I'll ignore cup games cos no one gives a fuck when gauging form. They finished with 16-10-16. This makes his record this season with York W11 D6 L13. That is fucking shocking for a million pound full t...

Surprisingly York have something to play for today - but I wonder if the players who Gray has been back-stabbing (and front-stabbing) will want to put in that extra bit of effort for him? The man is absolutely desperate for his job, so he's rewriting history to claim that it was a group decision to sign players, but forgets that the evidence is out there on both YouTube and in the papers. He also 'claims' that a cheque book mentality is not the way to go for a club yet just a couple...

Don't think he will be even there next season. He'll pop up at Hartlepool. Fewster 16 appearances, 0 goals and Styche 13 appearances 7 goals. Looks like the right decision.
