Re: End of the road for match programmes?
Sadly i agree with all the above. It will hack off the ground hoppers but they are a whingeing lot anyway who dont seem to grasp how much of a waste of money programmes are. Maybe clubs could do them on a ad hoc basis like big cup games, title deciders etc and make it more of a collectors mag Showi...

Re: Rugby League
Well it's not Powell as Castleford coach, ex London Bronco's coach Danny Ward has been appointed until the end of the season, Not a very inspiring appointment. Next Friday's game for Castleford at Wakefield is a must win game for Cas. Pete, I was told Powel is on gardening leave so could still be a...

Re: Rugby League
At yesterday's Darlo game, Rob didn't even know that Last had gone and he instantly said that he'd be happy with Powell returning. Powell didn't have a good ending to his stint at Castleford, so personally I don't think he is the answer, although perhaps he will be able to do something in the Champ...

Re: Rugby League
Love the "very second string" bit Pete. As you know. I don't miss many games. I had seen 8 of the 17 of our lads before, and 2 of those, only once. I see Cas need a new coach as Last has been booted. No shock there then. I was shocked when he got the gig as he did not pull up any trees at Dull. Powe...

Re: Rugby League
Well, we did not expect much with only 3 first-team players. None of them played after 50 minutes. Wigwam certainly did not hold back and the only complaint was the last try with the last 2 passes clearly forward. Just hope that last 6 points does not cost us at the end of the season. All in all a n...

Re: Rugby League
Not sure what to say about last night's game. Everyone knows I have a soft spot for Cas and the jungle, but damn, they were God-awful. The first few minutes were a good arm wrestle, but once we scored the first try, which never should have happened. (An offload with 4 players holding our lad), the g...

Re: Rugby League
We were robbed, it should have only been a yellow card and you're player was lucky to only get a yellow. You seemed to get the better of the close calls, but the result is all that matters. Good luck in the final, you'll need it as Leigh will start as firm favourites. Now I know you actually know b...

Re: Rugby League
Sorry I didn't realise it was at Headingley. I'm working all day in the rain, so I'll have to watch on TV. Hope you don't enjoy the game too much. I will settle for the same sort of game and result as our last Headingly semi in 2015. Funny thing, overnight betting we were 12/5 and Wigwam 1/3. Exact...

Re: Rugby League
A couple of massive games this weekend in the Challenge Cup. First up St.Helens are at home to Leigh. Now normally this would be a no contest for St. Helens, but I'm pretty sure that Leign will be favourites to come out on top. Then we have Wigan v Hull KR, this is likely to be close, but home adva...

I too am looking forward to casting my vote for Richard Offiong when we get on to the forwards next week!

Re: Best Darlo Loan XI - Thread
I think you're confusing Olivier Bernard with someone else, EDJOHNS? He was outstanding for us. I wasn't there, but I'm pretty sure he scored a wonder goal for us away at Torquay during his ten game loan spell with us. The performances I saw him put in at Feethams were excellent and it was obvious ...

Re: Players becoming available
When will players start becoming available, those who are holding out for better offers, club’s etc. Bit of guess work involved I suppose, as with most things , clubs and players won’t want to leave it to the last minute to get sorted before to long. Anybody? I would think by this point, as retaine...

Re: New Shirts
The new shirts go on sale today. The home shirt looks great (love the Hull FC rugby league effect). Just an observation with the away shirt - it's quite a pale blue, with dark navy shorts. I can see us needing a third strip when we play eg. Hereford if a referee thinks the light shirt/dark shorts d...

Wow what a comeback, tremendous game and a great advert for RL. More of the same next week please at the Magic Weekend. Great game to watch as a neutral. Nothing unfortunate , about having an agenda is there.you put yourself forward nobody else.i will leave it there.thank you. Re: D.J. interview online now.
I disagree that National North is our limit long term but I do admit that it's our likely limit currently. I was desperate to reach the playoffs this season and to give it a go, but was actually quite nervous how a promotion would affect us next season, we just aren't ready off the pitch or on it. ...

I think that what he is suggesting is getting a feeling from supporters/ owners whether they would be open to outside investment in principle. Completely open to it. BtB, DFCSG provide unlimited opportunity for people to put their money into the club if they want to. So how do I answer the question...

Would I be willing to cede control of the club for a realistic chance of returning to the EFL? Yes I would, and I suggest many others would as well. Re: D.J. interview online now.
The problem isn’t always who we sell to, it’s who they then sell to. We’ve had one offer of investment in 11 years, from the parasite that put us in this position. I’d be extremely hesitant to accept any major investment. You make a good point. A part of me is content to keep turning up to watch NL...
